Where do you live that people are comfortable using that word in public conversation?

I get what the OP was saying but, I think racism is equal opportunity depending on the ignorance of the individual.

That much is certainly true.

There are only Kingdoms, Divisions (or Phylum), Classes, Orders, Families, Genus, and Species. "Race" only exists in the minds of the truly ignorant. Which explains why "race" is so popular among liberal freaks.

another low information voter. Social Security is going bankrupt and the young workers are getting screwed.

If workers are educated and given the choice, they would rather pay into their own personal retirement account where they have full control and a better return in the free market than a badly run goverment system.

Politically is a suicide cause because of the lies and distortions from the left and lets face it a lot of voters in the U.S are not very well informed.

Western Mo. Oh they cover it up in general public but be known to them and they will cut loose with it while talking politics etc or to just generally blame everything on that N***** Obama.

I have had the same experience many times, it is because they think that most whites agree with their ignorance and will in closed company say things they would deny they ever even think in public.
