Ebola outbreak highly unlikely in the US. But it does make for sensational headlines and hysteria over nothing.

What are you even talking about? Also, did you just say the North Korean population in the US was skyrocketing.

But the people who get it are villagers who are usually too poor to make it to the nearest town, never mind buy a plane ticket and fly anywhere. And wouldn't the fact that Europe has many more illegal African immigrants than North America mean the chances would be higher there and, yet, it still hasn't happened since 1976 when the virus was first started spreading in Africa.

But you go ahead and worry illogically and spread hysteria over illegal immigrant children bringing it to our shores. Your chances of dying from a stray bullet are probably greater--and all it takes is one bullet.

You want something to worry about? TB -- drug-resistant TB -- is fairly widespread in the US population, among people who are natural citizens. You are at risk every time you go out in public.

Boo!
Remember this post as your friends and family member lie dying from it.

Ok and just watch out for those illegal immigrant squirrels in the American west carrying bubonic plague.

Have you seen the way they behave in Nigeria? Splashing bodily fluids on each other is a sport for all.

Nigeria Death Shows Ebola Can Spread by Air Travel - ABC News
Nigerian health authorities raced to stop the spread of Ebola on Saturday after a man sick with one of the world's deadliest diseases brought it by plane to Lagos, Africa's largest city with 21 million people.

The fact that the traveler from Liberia could board an international flight also raised new fears that other passengers could take the disease beyond Africa due to weak inspection of passengers and the fact Ebola's symptoms are similar to other diseases.

Ebola is currently only directly transmissible through contact. If you were on an airliner with a person suffering from the disease, you wouldn't get it if you weren't in direct contact with that person's bodily fluids. The current outbreak is actually less deadly than some others. 60% mortality instead of 90% -- not great, but not as bad as it could be. IV hydration is vital in saving lives.

The other thing about Ebola is that it is a swift killer. There is little time between getting it and dying from it (2-21 days, during which you aren't necessarily contagious), which lessens the virus' opportunity to spread widely. There has only been one instance of the disease going aerosol and that was actually in a lab in MD. The gentleman who died in Lagos is an example. If Ebola were slower to kill and spread more easily, he would have wandered around the city for a while, infecting nobody knows how many. But they found him at the airport, not yet bleeding out (the time when the virus is most transmissible.)

More worrisome is the young lady who was diagnosed and yet taken away from the hospital by her family in Sierra Leone. They will all likely get it.

Freaking out over a disease half a world away -- which isn't likely to spread by any means but immediate contact -- and blaming 'illegals' for a disease that they don't even have is absurd. It's like being so worried about a meteor hitting your house that you forget to look both ways when crossing the street.
One Kiss, One shared spoon or straw, One person, One plane..You assume the virus will not mutate, it will..

You and people like you are living with your heads in the sand and it will not save you when this virus is unleashed..

Another way it could change is if a really dedicated group of jihadists went there to be deliberately infected with the objective of getting them into Europe or the Americas before the onset of symptoms. Doing that would not be hard, it just takes a few Toyota Hi-Lux pickups and an propeller airplane or two.

So some sex tourist will not visit some lady of the night?

Some business man will not get sneezed on by someone infect?

How can you not think of some common means of infection?

How can you limit yourself such one limited views?

People like you have been wrong more times then you will ever be right...

I'd worry more about drug resistant TB and measles, pertussis and whatever else brought in by unvaccinated illegals.
