Australia dumped their very Liberal PM and are dumping their failed Global Warming program too. France is in the dumps for years with zero growth. Germany rejected the massive spending that Obama wanted and choose a more conservative method to manage their economy which worked out very well. The UK is in a massive social and economic disaster due to 30 some years of Liberal policies.

My understanding isn't the issue here, your ignorance is the issue here.

Unless you can prove that "red" voters in these "red" states are the ones sucking up all that gov. money you have no point. Based on what I see the people in my prosperous and successful red state who always have their hands out are also the same ones who vote Democrat.

This again? Seems like every few months you get some moron liberal who hits on the brilliant insight of the red states receiving more federal aid than the blue states. Guess what, genius? The blue states are the ones who voted in that aid. If you don't want the red states mooching off you, then stop fighting against the red states' efforts to lower government spending. The Republicans are the ones who are voting against the very same aid that you're complaining about them getting. Geez, it ain't rocket science.

Its the other poster deeming NY as "rich" because its expensive to live in NYC, you are now arguing they are wrong (and I agree with you)

Yes, the Red States are generally mooching off the Blue states. There are numbers to prove it.

This is from Wikipedia:

[b]Several commentators have pointed out that the states that benefit the most by federal spending are the very states whose populations tend to vote for leaders who promise to reduce federal spending, while those that benefit the least from large government vote for politicians who promise to make it even larger at their expense. In other words, Democratic-leaning states tend to be net contributors to the federal budget while Republican-leaning states are more often net recipients of federal spending. Various explanations for this seemingly contradictory situation exist.[3][/]
Thats because they count federal SPENDING as a benefit, when in reality its the government spending on things like border security, buying oil and such.

You are making the exact same flawed argument that many left wing kooks do here, which is that all federal spending = welfare and handouts.

WRONG..

Red states like Texas receive federal spending dollars because it borders Mexico for example..
