What if it wasn't an illegal alien though?
Thousands of people come into the United States from all over the world by plane. Some of those people are even Americans.
From what I understand those coming from foreign countries legally and/or with a visa are required to have health checks before they do.
Have you ever considered the fact that there are Americans that travel to other countries and come back and can very easily smuggle in a virus such as this one? You don't need to show symptoms of being sick to smuggle in a virus either.
...Far more Americans travel to other countries and come back than illegals setting foot.

In any investigation of infectious diseases, the investigators try to locate patient zero, if they can. It is legitimate to question why these rare diseases have broken out in the numbers they have in several different states simultaneously.

It has been around since the 1960's in the US. Why this particular one is slightly more virulent will be something geneticists will have to examine to determine exactly which mutations changed in the virus but no one has actually died from it so this seems to be getting blown up by the media.

Nobody has died, but it's pretty reasonable for a parent to take their child to the ER when they are coughing, wheezing, and having trouble breathing.
