So his majesty decides no fishing in a huge area around the Gilbert Islands. The locals are outraged and the Chinese won't care because they will poach the area anyway.

His Lunacy also says the no fishing will help against ocean acidification and fight climate change. WTF???

How will no fishing accomplish that?

Once again he proves to be well-spoken and clean while screwing the local population and lying through his teeth. Even with the concessions he gave.

Only in the warped land of Fox would this be a bad thing.

"George W. Bush decided to protect this place ... President Obama is building on something Bush did. At a time when politics seems to have broken down to a worrisome degree, this is an example of former opponents both making huge contributions to protect the world's marine life."

The reasons your hero gave are flat out lies.

By protecting it will prevent ocean acidification and combat climate change.

Please, pray tell, how will that be accomplished?

Well, lemme tell you how...

First they'll get some of those and do it that way, then they'll get some of these and do it this way, then they'll get some of them and do it the other way....

And on and on and on...

Judging by the dearth of replies indicates that the idiot squatting in the WH lied yet again.

Do you think the only damage from fishing is that there are a few less fish in the ocean?

How will a moratorium on fishing combat climate change and stop ocean acidification?

Absolutely correct. Once again conservatives on C-D shoot themselves in the foot. Bush started this and Pres. Obama took the right action to expand the monument. Obama took the responsible course of action. Kudos to him.

Can anyone answer my question?

I couldn't give a rats ass about Bush this or Obama that.

I want to know how a moratorium on fishing will stop ocean acidification and combat climate change as the idiot asserted.
