If he is a taxpayer and an American citizen, he has every right to visit the White House. It used to be open to the public all the time back in the "good ole days".

They couldn't keep up with the intruder. 'Tubbo' might not mean literally fat; just not physically capable of running faster than the target.

The security problems at the white house are unrelated to political correctness or affirmative action. The guards need to be physically trained. This doesn't require them to be 6'4'' body builders. Just capable at handling situations (and proficient in firearms). The fact that they aren't is the real problem. Though, the intruder was ex-military and can be assumed to be in relatively good physical condition.
I suppose 'tubbo' is not an actual word and could be interpreted however one wishes. I'm fairly sure that the poster meant to imply that the guards were overweight. If they were, then that's a problem, but we don't know that.

Sounds like this guy has been planning this for awhile.
Someone appearing unarmed is absurd reason in this day and age. A small explosive, chemical weapon, gun can easily be concealed - even on a running man.

I heard, they didn't shoot, because Obama wasn't home. However, another poster said his girls were. Supposedly, one female secret service agent is extremely overweight and has trouble opening the heavy doors. If so...that is either a PC issue or pathetic standards in general issue...Secret Service should all meet a certain set of strict criteria that men and women can join if they meet, but not if they don't.

I'm surprised it took 23 posts before someone blamed the president. You right wingers are slipping.

The female secret service member didn't run him down, she was already in the building. Certainly some women are faster than most men and women shouldn't be discredited for this job based on their gender. However, there should be strict criteria that should be met regardless of gender and that is being eroded away -- see Marines and the reduced requirements for combat women.

There are two Secret Service sections- uniformed division and then the plain clothes Special Agents. Do we know who was from whom in this mess?

I think many are confusing this most recent incident with the one that occurred in 2011. None of the Obama family was home during the most recent incident. One of his daughters was home during the 2011 incident.

SS screwed up and then did a CYA. Now Congress wants SS to disclose their security protocols on live TV broadcast. Well, why not? Maps are posted. President's schedule is posted. So why not let the world know about WH security protcols, while we are at it.

Half of Congress is probably bummed that the timing of this intrusion was a tad off and the Obama family was not home.

This could have been monumental catastrophe with just a little bad luck added to the scenario. Why aren't all Secret Service agents directly guarding the President at least 6'4" 210 lbs? Do we want to have to put 'died of political correctness' on a president's tombstone?
Unfortunately, that's just the way it is now. Think of all the increased danger male police officers are in female police partners. Think of all the female firefighters who weren't able to knock down a bedroom door during a fire, and as a result someones child had to die. But, that's the way it is now, militant feminism is perhaps the most powerful force in this country.

But then, when it comes to domestic violence (male on female only), it is OK to consider women helpless. They fight for the right to be Army Rangers, and be in combat, but don't like the arrangements when it comes to privacy at the VA hospitals. It's only about power.
