I believe it is evident, that all flights in and out of the Hot Zone be canceled until this thing is in check....and that is what we've been calling for since this started....
I believe people realize, that it is only effective if you ban flights in and out of a county.....
There are no direct/ non stop commercial flight between the U.S. and the hot zone. There are no flights to stop. The US has no authority to stop Air Brussels or Royal Air Maroc from flying to/ from the hot zone. They are not US carriers. These flights are the primary mode of travel for international humanitarian aid and media.
There are millions of people in affected countries and only a minute fraction of that population has ebola or come in contact with ebola. Ebola is a poor people's disease. Travelers are most often a different class.
It's not like the current world policies regarding travel are not working well either. Only a handful of countries on the earth have travel bans at this time. In spite of that, there has been only one case of Ebola that came in via legal travel. That was the US case. It would have been nothing of consequence had it not been bungled by the Dallas hospital where he reported. This would all be over by now, had people in Texas been prepared and properly done their jobs.

It has been reported 100-150 travelers a day arrive in the US either from or through the 3 ebola stricken countries. They are getting here somehow. We should stop it until this crisis subsides.

You seemingly ignore the fact that the African countries that beat back Ebola and where it didn't spread closed their borders to the infected ones....Never ignore a plan that works...
Simply because everything begins with just one case...Your probably to young to remember polio,,it wasn't airborn either..

I swear, what has happened to the logic, better to be safe then sorry....
People do not know how to problem solve effectively and take action....

Duncan's tourist visa was granted in early August, well before he became infected.
The common web pages of US Embassies all over the world offer online visa applications and the potential for expediting.
Liberian media began reporting in late August that the U.S.Embassy in Liberia had begun canceling appointments for the required face to face interviews. People who had confirmed appointments were being turned away at the embassy door.
The cost of a visa, let alone the international flight is substantially beyond the overwhelming majority of the people in the hot zone. The source of their next meal is immediate.
Some media has irresponsibly created and sustained the false perception that US airlines operate daily shuttle flight between the U.S. and the hot zone and such flights are brimming with Ebola- infected Liberian nationals. Politicians in need of face time have jumped on this bandwagon. They have created the false perception that all the US has to do is stop the Liberians from entering the US and all will be well.

Straw man. No one is claiming all will be well. It's common sense to do what you can to stop people infected with a deadly and extremely contagious disease from entering your country. It's really not complicated.
