Maybe if the GOP lose enough presidential elections they will realize they need to drastically change their platform and push out the far right to be more attractive to voters.
Go ahead and live in your progressive dreamland. If Dems win the presindency again liberals will be whining and screaming about it because their policies spell doom to this country. The sad truth? Most of you already know it but are so liberally regressed you can't help yourselves when it comes to pushing the incorrect levers in the voting booth.
And why shouldn't we be bitter? Our immigration laws are being spat on, Americans are losing their jobs or having their wages reduced due to illegal aliens and they are depleting our tax coffers with their social needs. Not that you apparently care. There is nothing cold about wanting our immigration laws respected and enforced. We don't have to resort to mass deportations they will self deport if all the incentives to remain here are removed. Illegals knew full well what they were doing was wrong and there is no tearing apart of families. The whole family is free to go back to their homelands together.
Really? American's are "losing" their jobs and having their wages reduced by illegal immigrants? I'm sure that you have some citations or charts that you can provide that prove this. Meanwhile, the unemployment rate is the lowest it has been since the recession started...and the oft-touted u-6 unemployment figures are also dropping.
And I don't dispute that the people that came here illegally were wrong in doing so. But I would make the contention that our immigration system is prohibitively difficult for low-skill workers to get in. Of course a doctor or engineer can get easy access. The agricultural workers and other workers that also want a better life for their families are just as deserving of an opportunity as well. The immigration system that we have encourages illegal immigration just as our drug policies now encourage gang activity and our tax structure encourages evasion. That being said...the policy prescription of mass deportation simply isn't feasible. It will not happen, regardless of who is in power so talking about it is a waste of breath...or in this case...a waste of key strokes.

So is the GOP going to actually trot out a candidate in 2016 that people can vote for without needing an airsick bag, want to ensure Hillary or some other Dem in not in the Whitehouse in 2017, don't run a Tea Party guy or gal and stay away from any Libertarians pretending to be a republican and you might stand a good chance of winning. Otherwise we will get to listen to another 4-8 years of right-wing whining.

It's common knowledge that for example illegal aliens flooded the construction and landscaping industries which once paid a liveable wage to Americans. You need a citation for those facts? You can't possibly deny that illegal aliens have taken those jobs and other blue collared jobs and they have done so by working for less. Many Americans have stopped looking for a job because there is nothing out there to look for. That factors into the so-called lower unemployment figures. Also, including part time jobs makes it look like there is less unemployment.
Our system should be more difficult for low skilled workers. We have enough of our own low skilled. Low skilled workers end up on the government dole to subsidize their income so they are burden not a benefit. No one deserves to come here. It is and should be based on our needs for certain skills. There are unlimited H-2A visas for legal, foreign ag workers. So you were sayin? Americans also want a better life for their families but how can they compete against cheap, illegal labor or doesn't that matter to you? Why are the needs of American families unimportant to you?
Didn't I already say that mass deportation isn't necessary and yet you continue down that line. Removing the incentives for them to remain here or to continue to come here is the best way to rid ourselves of them.

Strange in all of that not once did you even mention the true cause of the illegals taking away US jobs, Businesses Hiring them and that neither the Repubs or Dems willing to go after them, it happens to many people they concentrate on the talking points taught them and never really do any thinking on their own part, exactly how those in power want it to remain. Oh did you notice Anne didn't go there either, hmmmm.
Does she mention what she believes the GOP should be sucking up to, does she have any personal preferences when it comes to sucking up? Where are her suggestions and preferences, making statements without say what is a better alternative is simply whining and no one likes a whiner that cannot not suck it up.
I see, so the Democrats pandering to Hispanics for votes by promising amnesty is helping the American people? How so?
The Democrats didn't have to pander. The Republicans actively drove them away, and all the Democarts had to do was acknowledge that they exist.
Thanks, Oldglory. You did a lot of heavy lifting for the Democratic party.
