97% of the working population of this country makes more than the minimum wage. 75% make more than the wage the government is seeking to raise the minimum to.
Seems like the vast majority of the country understands the process of making more money without government mandating it by law.
I'd like to see your source for those numbers. Wages are not the only issue of course.
They're paying more than minimum wage and offering more benefits than required. Isn't this proving many conservatives' point that you don't need laws for employers to treat employees well?
Well, Volkswagen's workforce in Germany, for instance, have agreed to temporary pay cuts more than once, when the business wasn't doing well. This of course requires a workforce who trusts their management to not scr.w them completely over at the first opportunity - and, heresy of heresies, it generally takes a union to handle the negotiations. But in the "profit-above-all" model favored in the US, this is of course not an option. Or, at least, very rarely.
Actually what it takes is people to understand that corporations will simply get up and move their jobs elsewhere and the employees to understand that they need their jobs.
We dont have that here in america. Its sad you had to look to Germany for a response.

But you didnt answer the question, you just posted some nonsense and when someone questioned it, you told them to google it as if its up to us to backup your silly claims.
The corporatists on this forum will never get it. They adopt a rapist mentality, where they believe people should lie back and take whatever the corporate masters want to give them, all in the name of the almighty dollar.
On the contrary, capitalists believe that if you dont like your job or your salary we should have an economy where its to an employees advantage to find another job.
When turnover at sucky corporations get so costly that the corporation must then improve working conditions in order to compete.
Some people simply dont understand this, so rather than try to, they run around calling people names like corporatists, and then make ridiculous assertions comparing them to rapists..

I wonder if there is any irony in the fact that people who ***** and moan about working condition, are the same ones who need to be told not to work under conditions that dont make them happy?
To me, that seems common sense, sadly, not everyone can figure this out on their own.
It's all about endorsing free enterprise in this country. Can we imagine how better off everyone would be if we saw a massive reduction in taxes and regulations? Boom times!

So there will a better job out there if they just quit there job? If they leave then someone else will take that crappy job so it is not really changing anything.

Maybe it's not crappy to them.
