Not exactly...I converse with people here and I so think most of them vote Republican because that's how it's been done. Their parents did it and their grandparents did it. It's tradition for them. Most people aren't into politics too much...they vote but don't pay too much attention.
Born and raised a bleeding blue blood Kennedy Latino Democrat. Then I moved out, went to college and woke the hell up. First a Conservative Republican now a Conservative Independent.

I converse with people here too and most of them vote Democratic because that's how it's done. I've also lived in several other states and it's no different.
You need to hang with a better group of Republicans.
That's funny when Greg Abbot is a slime ball who makes men pay child support for children that aren't theirs, tries to unseat judges who hold their moral ground against him, tries to intimidate anyone who goes against him and forces people to sign statements that they did not write and don't agree with. Texans were so busy voting against Obama and Democrats that the just put a corrupt slime ball in office. Don't believe me, look it up.
You are partially correct. A huge number of voters voted against the slime ball in the white house and view Wendy Davis as his proxy. So they viewed Wendy as a slime ball just like Liar Obama. In their minds they were voting against a corrupt Obama, not for Abbot.
She lost Texas because it is Texas. Texas rejects everything progressive. The word progressive is offensive in the Lone Star State.
Well Texas has about 38% of the population latino/hispanic and the largest segement across all ethnicities/races is women....and they rejected wendy davis. Yes, that is Texas.
How do they do things in MA? They voted for a Republican governor, replacing a Dem.
And he wouldn't be the first and won't be the last. Your point? People don't vote Republican in MA just because that's the way it's done. They do so because they're angry, want a change and low voter turnout among dems is also to blame. See the difference? Obviously people there aren't as partisan as they are in Texas...that was my point.
