I do not disagree that they won't try.
Well going onto the Brooklyn Bridge to shut down traffic is NOT "peaceful assembly".
Then again, these organizers don't want anything "peaceful".

All these so-called peaceful assemblies are doing is pissing people off. Clearly, the best way to get people to listen to you and agree with you is to annoy and/or inconvenience the hell out of them.

We will note, the courts sided with the protesters over that.

I bet you believe the Chris Cristie myth that he did the same thing, and THAT was wrong.

What exactly does Christie have to do with what I said? What I might believe or not believe has nothing to do with a court ruling for the protesters.

Not a permit to protest, a permit to march (you know, like parades). I'm guessing it has something to do with traffic/street closings.

If you want to hold a parade, you get a permit. If you simply want to protest, you do not. A parade expects the co-operation of the city and police to stop traffic, a protest does not.

The NYC website says "procession" requires a permit. You can protest in some park. I still think the purpose of the permit has to do with traffic/street closings.

Guess who gives them?
