Reports: 3 young Muslims slain in Chapel Hill shooting. N.C. man charged. - The Washington Post

The murder of innocence is a crime against humanity.

Read the article that was lacking any information as to who the killer was or his motivation. We were told in detail about the victim but nada about the perp. Then the leap to 3 muslims slain, implying, without evidence, that it was a hate crime. Maybe it was, however, where is the information that supports that conclusion?

Was this guy mental, did he have a history of being hateful, does he belong to a gang or just released from prison, on drugs, drunk criminal record??? Why don't we hear a peep about the perp and in depth family history about the victims? Background is stacked in favor of the victims, as it should be, but the where is the info about the killer?

You have Obma's spokesman saying those killed in the kosher deli were random victims vs an antisemetic act, especially because the killer did not know their names and the placement of an adverb in the sentence. Is this the new criteria for a hate crime?

We have workplace violence at ft hood.

Furgeson facts muddled to set off the crowd.

NBC alters a 911 tape to mislead readers into thinking it was a hate crime.

The inconsistency in charging or not charging hate crimes or terrorism is not consistent and further divides the nation.

The media is not our friend as it seems bent on stirring the pot of divisive hatred.

He didn't? Did you hear his "high horse lecture" at the National Prayer Breakfast?

I'm not justifying anything. I'm making an analogy.

(I did slightly rephrase and make an addition to my original post)

Obama needs to make a statement about how random these killings are. And that considering the sins of the Muslims in the past and recently, Muslims shouldn't complain about it...in fact should rejoice because they deserved it.

There aren't many details, yet.

It's a shame, but I think we can assume these folks were randomly killed and there is no way this tragic event reflects either on the killer's religion, if he has one, or his ethnicity. Lest anyone get on their high horse, let's recall also brutal crimes are committed elsewhere by those of other religions, and no religion, and by other races, and one cannot draw conclusions about entire religions or races.

Where is this implication?

Nothing was said about him, so why do you get all defensive? Are you so worried he might be from your camp? Maybe he was a raving liberal. Why should that be the only thing that matters?

This political tribalism is killing this country.

when fox news keeps pumping and pumping anti islam messaging in peoples heads, this stuff ends up becoming the result of it. im not surprised at all that a conservative white male did this and i expect more of it.

and i expect fox to ignore this story as well.

Except the Fox boogeyman isn't doing that, and nowhere is there evidence the killer is a conservative.

I expect angry, divisive leftists to keep hoping more people are killed until they get their wish on this, and in the meantime just make things up.

Yes. I heard all of it, and it is clear there was no attempt to justify ISIS atrocities. If someone calls ISIS "brutal, vicious death cult who pretend to stand up for islam", it's clear there is no attempt to justify their actions. Do yourself a favor and study up about actual words and facts, as opposed to repeating what you hear in the mainstream media. The MSM is playing Americans for fools. The torturers of inquisition were not Christians, and I as a Christian refuse to associate with them. I condemn their actions, as I condemn the actions of ISIS.

Of course none of that is the topic of this thread here. There is another thread about it, so if you wish to continue, please do it there.
