Rand Paul caught lying about his college record - Salon.com

Is his bid for the GOP Presidential election over ?

Is he going to be suspended for 6 months without pay like Brian Williams ?

Or politicians are exempted from any sanctions in this case ?

But Democrats and their supporters say college records don't matter, when it's a Democratic party candidate.

His bid is not over. People will forget about this within a month, if it even catches on.

Brian Williams is in a very different position than Sen. Paul. Williams' job is to inform the public; he gave false information. Paul's job is to be a politician; the lie he told has no relevance to that job.

Politicians are kind of except from lying. It sucks, but they all are. Now, some get caught up in BIG lies, but this is not a big lie.

But legally, he was caught lying so what the GOP is going to do about it ?

Is he discredited by GOP standards or not ?

Is still going to be part of the GOP ?

Are we going to elect a liar to the White House ?

I don't care about what the Democrats are going to do or say.

Too late for Obama, may be not for Hillary Clinton if she decides to run

I don't think this will be forgotten in a month, during the debates , his opponents will be glad to bring that up .
Not sure, he will escape this scandal, I think he's done !!

This isn't even that scandalous. He did go to med school, so he was obviously qualified. Even if he doesn't officially have the degree, that doesn't mean he isn't as knowledgable.

And yes, there's a good chance his opponents will attack him. Unfortunately, that is how campaigns are run. But I think he'll get through it.

I don't know why he even bothered with that lie, it is so unnecessary,

while Paul studied English and biology at Baylor, he left the university after three years in 1984, before obtaining a bachelor’s degree in either field. Despite lacking an undergraduate degree, Paul went on to graduate from Duke’s medical school in 1988

Rand Paul caught lying about his college record - Salon.com

I will still give him a chance.

You know this is one those really stupid lies that is easily verified and does him no good. For heaven's sake, he has a medical degree from Duke University which is very impressive IMHO. I'm not a supporter of his, but give the man his due for graduating Duke Medical.
