The Prophetic narration that foretells the Dabiq battle refers to the enemy as Rome. Who “Rome” is, now that the pope has no army, remains a matter of debate. But Cerantonio makes a case that Rome meant the Eastern Roman empire, which had its capital in what is now Istanbul. We should think of Rome as the Republic of Turkey—the same republic that ended the last self-identified caliphate, 90 years ago.
Again, since it was missed the first time by most.
I have this image of them motoring up to the Italian coast in their Toyota pick-up trucks on pontoons...and that makes me laugh. This is clearly fear mongering. As somebody else stated, threat is different from invasion.
They should. They really have no army. A small army of Muslim lunatics could do a lot of damage before being stopped. Rome is a goal of theirs. American libs won't mind. The Crusades and all.
OUR leader is causing WWII because of his weakness and his love of Islam and hatred of Christianity.
Italy does have an army and a navy. If ISIS did try to invade Italy from Libya there would be a lot of ISIS fighters at the bottom of the Mediterranean sea.
Would be easier to elaborate where you're not but...

1) They really have no army.
You are in error.
Here's a photo of soldiers from Italy's non-existing army with a non-existing KIA who fell as part of their non-existing contribution to the war in Afghanistan:
I'd look up the Italian for "You're welcome", but seeing as gratitude on your part is unlikely, what would be the point?

Sigh, yes. Yes, they do. The "deployable" bit from the article is (presumably, because the journalist is not very good) about how many troops Italy can ship out to Libya. And that sh.t - mounting a campaign across an ocean - is hard. Really, really hard.
The idea of ISIS making some sort of amphibious attack across the Med is preposterous.
Don't look now, but ISIS ran off with part of your Roman numeral as well.
That ISIS could make it to Italy to do some heavy damage is as preposterous as Al Qaeda making it to our shores to harm anyone....

I think they remember WWII and their own first move. ISIS now tends to encourage what is called grievance accumulators to come ;then sends them back home trained in terror. Would one dispute that large numbers can't moved seeing the experience with Cubans after Castro? Remember we are not talking troops in uniform here.

.....right?
Read the damn article, fercryinoutloud. Did AQ "invade"? Was 9/11 due to a lack of active army units, or something? For feck's sake, the linked article decries Italy not purchasing F-35s, as if that would make one effin' iota of a difference.
