Plenty here and in the media choose to not distinguish between ISIS terrorists and the whole of Islam.
I mention Prostestantism because The Lord's Resistance Army ( LRA) claims to be affiliated with Protestant Church. The U.S. declared LRA a terrorist organization 14 years ago. The U.S. has funded a resistance effort since 2008. Troops have been long been deployed in an " advisory" capacity.
Imagine the outrage if the U.S. condemned Protestantism or all Christians because of the actions of these barbarians? Yet that is what some attempt to do with Islam.
That the LRA does not have the funding or sophistication to film and use social media as ISIS does, does not diminish the raw barbarism of their actions. Have we gotten to the point that if we don't have a link , we can pretend terrorism, independent of ISIS , does not exist?
Those who choose to not distinguish between ISIS terrorists and the whole of Islam aren't sensible. Neither is anyone who refuses to acknowledge that ISIL is Islamic. Obviously not representative of ALL Muslims.
I'm not among the some you think want Obama to condemn ALL of Islam. otoh, I'm also not among those who go to other extremes and equate international Christian-based terrorism in the year 2015 to that of Islam, as plenty here do.

Are there people who say that Islam is not the religion of peace it is claimed to be? Sure. However, the philosophy and the people who follow that philosophy are two different things. When it comes to there being "plenty" of people who don't distinguish between peaceful law abiding Muslim people and radical Muslim terrorists who suicide bomb civilians, I've never seen or heard of a single person who makes no distinction. Just lots of claims from leftists that these folks are all over the place. For them supposedly being so common, it's curiously difficult to find them. So I conclude that they're just a strawman for leftists to argue against.
