public media is monitored- many child predators find any way possible to connect- anti govt folks love to post their antics and find like minds through forums, not saying some idiots dont work for the govt, but we have our share right here in citydata- - keep it clean nothing to worry about- I am scared of the MODs some very very sensitive

Lol......Michelle probably reads the posts from that member named after a certain Japanese Lex-ury car -- lol -- and starts immediately screaming at Barack "Is THAT who you spent time with in the bath houses back in Chicago??"

Admittedly, when I think "federal employee", I do not picture high-achievers, but rather, mental midgets. After all, it was the brilliant intellect of the federal employees that brought us the dismal performance of www.healthcare.gov

All internet traffic is put through a huge and very powerful computer network.

A sophisticated algorithm detects certain words, phrases, statements, etc......and flags them for "further review".

I would bet that the odds of a human assigned to regularly read c-d is on the order of 0.00005. Or less.

But automated data mining? You betcha.

I can't see them actually reading City Data, over any other forum or at all really. I would go along with monitoring for keywords or phrases. It's likely the Fed's would miss lots of coded messages and messages in foreign languages based on words and phrases. City Data is not very criminally oriented, as other sites I've seen. I heard a long time ago, the government got the original hackers out of jail to hack computers for the federal gov. Cops are more likely read forums that have criminal conversations.

They did catch a bunch of pervs trying to meet underage girls for sex and put it on ABC Primetime that year, it was priceless. Those pervs were crying and begging....I guess I'm getting off topic.

Sometimes, you just have to read the post quoted that was replied to, to answer your own questions.
