5. Religious fundamentalism

7. Willing to use violence to achieve political change - It was a Tea Party candidate that discussed "2nd Amendment solutions" if the ballot box didn't work

And yet those who claim to be the Tea Party all side themselves with those points. Should we start a thread asking Tea Baggers what their view on same sex marriage is?
Tea Party activists like myself are several things the statists, Alinskyites and Gruberites belonging to both parties despise.
First, we are Constitutionalists who don`t tolerate politicians, organizations and activists who ignore or distort what is clearly stated in the Constitution.
Second, we are driven to educate ourselves and others about the Constitution and how we have come to a point that we allow our elected officials to escape accountability.
Third, we are active in the political process.
Together, what makes one a Tea Party participant also makes one the antidote for the statism, Alinskyism and Gruberism that has made office holders largely unaccountable to the voters.

I have taken a Constitution course. It's amazing what you learn, not only about our Founders thinking, but also about the thinking of the so-called "Progressives" who want to destroy it. Progressive's hate the Constitution, because it was written to prevent the kind of government they seek. "Progressivism" is warmed over Marxist/socialism, packaged in a way they hope will sell better. But the product is the same.
the tea party is just ever day people, like teachers, firemen, farmers, blue collar. white collar, thats tired of the old school republican party, we are still republicans but just unhappy with the old school. that it, thats all.....
we don't eat children, we not looney toon, we not some wild extreme crazy party, we just normal people that want the government to live up to the constitution that it........... nothing extra
and be honest, the tea party is not a party at all, there no national organization, it just everyday people.
That's perfectly normal to see. Jim Jones said the same thing, and had a lot of followers too. They claimed to be ordinary people tired of what was going on, and they took it one step further, they moved. Just didn't work out for them in the end. We are free to do what we like. Even the Klan had thousands of members . Normal people from all walks of life. Its a diverse Country, with freedoms to choose. No one ate children in either Party that has ever been formed. Its just not my "Cup of Tea."
