In Switzerland everyone is mandated by law to own a machine gun. There are more mass shootings in France, where guns are extremely restricted, than in Switzerland. In fact there are more shootings in France period. A lot more stabbings too.

Look man, you are entitled to your own opinions. The rest of us are entitled to our weapons, whether they are firearms, batons, spray, or fully operational tanks. I can defend myself the way I see fit and your Piers Morgan opinion is irrelevant.

The Institute of Medicine and the National Research Council released the results of their research through the CDC last month. Researchers compiled data from previous studies in order to guide future research on gun violence, noting that “almost all national survey estimates indicate that defensive gun uses by victims are at least as common as offensive uses by criminals, with estimates of annual uses ranging from about 500,000 to more than 3 million per year.”

The first and probably the only true statement you'll make in this entire thread.

However, car nuts treat their vehicles as if they were a lady, so don't read too much in to this type of nonsense. People always have awkward affectionate terms for their hobbies or passions.

O.K., I have been on many sites dealing with AR's a lot lately. I built my first AR last year, I have a dedicated lower with 2 separate uppers, .223 and .300 BO....over all those sites, I have never seen anyone call there AR a barbie doll (s).

I've seen them called many other things, but never a barbie doll....
