Good to see that some are finally speaking out publicly against this toxic race huckster. Sharpton certainly won't bring anything positive for anyone but himself to South Carolina.
Myth and reality are extremely far apart...as usual in the case of Sharpton.
Sharpton and the National Action Network don't show up to anything unless they're called. That's ALWAYS been their policy regardless of what people stubbornly choose to cling to as "facts."
So if they didn't call Sharpton in an effort to get an appearance out of him, he won't be showing up.
So they shouldn't be too impressed with themselves.
In all honestly, they should've just made it private. They opened it up to news media I believe, which isn't a good idea. They should know the media doesnt care about the victim. They care about ratings and whatever narrative they choose to push.
I would imagine that magicians do not like hecklers. Can you imagine every time you tried to do a show, as a magician, someone in the audience standing up and saying “It’s up your sleeve” or “It’s in your pocket” or “I see the string”. I would imagine that the magician would get quite perturbed, as well as many others in the audience who simply wanted to be entertained and comforted by the illusion of “magic”. They would want to ban such people from the “show”.
Think about it. Are not people like Al Sharpton really hecklers who spoil the illusion of a post racial society? This is a nation that has decided that it wants to feel comfortable and be entertained by creating the magic trick of making racism disappear. Unfortunately, here comes a spoiler like Al Sharpton saying “I see the string”, “It’s in your pocket”, “it’s up your sleeve” and this ticks off the magicians who perform this trick and the audience who like to be comforted and entertained by it.
I am not a big fan of Al Sharpton myself, but for different reasons. I am not a fan of his because he is too political. He sides with a political party and both parties are complicit in our dilemma as black people, even if one is less so than the other, at this given window of time. However, race is still a problem in America and Al Sharpton is a voice against the illusion that it is not. As a result, people HATE him for ruining their "Show".

Sharpton is not a heckler in the crowd. He's an instigator and a tragedy pimp. I have a hard time believing anyone thinks racism is all gone. Anyone who does is only lying to themselves and Sharpton, or anyone else, pointing to "the string" is not going to change a thing.
I do think it is a good thing that this family doesn't want Sharpton there. I feel like it would be better if they didn't have the media there, either. It's a time for them to mourn and celebrate the life of the friend or family member. There is no reason some reporter needs to be there to shove a microphone or camera in their face at that time. There will be plenty of time for questions later. Leave the family and friends alone.

Keep in mind that when MLK was alive....the same was said of him. No....I am not saying that AL is an MLK....but that when our leaders are alive and active.....they are usually despised and seen as agitators. There has NEVER been a time that that has not been true....including NOW.
