Was just watching the news, there were clashes between migrants and the police in Greece again (as if that country didn't have enough problems without those refugees already).
It is really odd to see that fat aggressive refugee in Hungary yell out of the train window that he has a right to cross the border.
Really, I am not so sure that kind of behavior helps convince possible hosts.

Countries are not prepared for this type of migration, this is probably worse than WW2. Some pretty desperate people to take this action, threat of starvation and death will do that to anyone.

There was a naive politician on TV yesterday. He said something like, those immigrants are welcome, they will help solve the demographic problem. He said that much of the hinterland is dying out, so fresh blood is welcome. Makes me wonder why on earth refugees would want to live where even locals don't want to live anymore? I mean, one can't chain migrants to a tiny village where there are no jobs or anything. They will move to the big cities, which might lead to poverty, radicalization etc.

One thing that is important is that Muslims in the West must feel safe enough to convert to other religions, which is often considered a sin and people not seldom get killed for doing it in Muslim countries. Therefore people must develop the coolness to realize religions are just like smartphone makers. Lots of suppliers and each of them wants to increase their market share, but at the end of the day all that matters is that the customer is happy, not the supplier. And I mean the customer as an individual, above and beyond that whole clan and tradition crap.
Islam behaves like a cult. You cant criticize Muhammad, heck you cant even draw his picture without having your head cut off. Even leaving the faith is punishable by death.

Even in America, Ex-Muslims are not safe and live under threats from practicing Muslims.

The Ex-Muslim Atheist group of North America has a vetting system to ensure that no Muslim pretending to be an Ex-Muslim sneaks into the group and massacres them all to death.

Watch the video at 6:00 min and 33:00 min mark to hear them talk about the vetting system to protect themselves from Muslims.

I don't know if such exposure at press conferences and on YT makes sense, I am a bit worried about their safety when they speak of errors in the Koran etc. That alone can get you killed by radicals. I am sure there are sleepers in the US as well.

But it's interesting to see how cheerful they are as atheists, while Islam seems to suck happiness out of people, a bit like the military.

Portugal is a joke compared to the US and Germany. Without tourism dollars from the US and Germany they would be dirt poor.

It's fine to like a nice little quaint place Portugal, but just remember why it's so nice there.

It's hard to criticize the EU for trying to help stateless refugees but privately there needs to be action taken on the source of the issues and pressure on the regional players to stabilize their region. They can do it if they are pushed hard enough.

The US has long become the problem in Europe, and the whole world actually. It has benefited big time from the occupation of Europe.
Apart from that, if Europeans want to have wars, it is their business. It is their right to kill each other if that is what they want just like Europeans would not intervene if there were a war within the US. The problem with the world wars was the silly blocks and alliances, without them those wars would have been much smaller or not happened at all.
If you mean not having wars by growing up, the US is clearly the child here as can be witnessed over the past 70 years or so.

Again, why are we even having this discussion here? It doesn't have anything to do with the topic.
Really? WW 2 def had us worried here in the US. Hitler almost got into England and, that's when we decided he needed to be put in his place. Japan attacked Pearl Harbor late 1941, Japan and Germany was allies; the it was game ON. Tho "our" big mistake was was NOT smashing Stalin's Russia after Germany gave up. We should have blown the Red Army to bits AND taken Moscow.

That is just pure religious xenophobia.
Uh; the Taliban, IS and their despicable kind DO have the rep of destroying ancient historical places because they ain't "Islamic" or some such BS. Look what happened in Syria; a place that started with "P" was badly damaged.
