So tell me...who signed it into law?

Comprehensive Crime Control Act of 1984 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Huh....not who I expected. Ronald Reagen. To be fair its been distorted from its original intent.

Leftists aren't blind or stupid. While they may disagree with you on many topics don't assume its because they are blind or stupid. I for example agree on this topic, that doesn't make me suddenly some conservative.

None of the above comments have any bearing on whether or not she was going to get confirmed.

It's a presidential appointment to the top cop position. Unless she was on video tape smoking crack with Marion Barry...... oh wait never mind.

After months of delays, the Senate confirmed Loretta Lynch as the next attorney general by a vote of 56-43. Republicans had delayed the vote numerous times over unrelated issues. Jeb Bush, a likely Republican presidential candidate, urged the Senate to defer to President Obama's choice of Lynch as attorney general, arguing that president's should be able to pick who they want. Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), an announced Republican presidential candidate and one who's arguably engaged civil liberties issues more than most politicians in either party, opposed Lynch's nomination early on, citing her aggressive use of civil asset forfeiture and her refusal to take a stand on the legality of executive drone strikes. Paul also took issue with Lynch's support of President Obama's various executive immigration directives.

Horse feathers!
The read danger to our liberty and freedom was the five months when the United States did not have an Attorney General, the top lawyer in the land. Our freedoms come from law here, not from the barrels of guns.

The nation has always had an Attorney General from its beginnings. Where's that 'bloat' going to come from anyway? Lynch only has 19 months of service ahead of her, and she is under exactly the same financial restraints as her predecessor had. There's no way for her to bloat anything.

Take a pill and put a damp cloth on your forehead. Your paranoia has made you feverish again. Bush, or any new President must be able to choose their Attorney General at will, just as they are able to choose the rest of their cabinet. This was nothing more than another desperate tempest in the Republican's worn out teapot.

I concur because Holder was still in office the whole time.

Yes started with the black Muslim, socialist, communist Nigerian national.

The hatred is so blinding they can't recognize a quality individual.

Why weren't these issues brought up in the hearing, never heard a word.

Funny that the one of the biggest erosions to Liberty in the history of our nation was instituted by a conservative administration. It seems there's plenty of blind stupidity to go around.
