One thing. Minneapolis, Seattle, Denver, Boston, all are run by Democrats, and those cities don't have super high crime rates, and people are not bleeding out of those cities like they are in Detroit and Baltimore.
Those cities are run by white democrats/politicians and white business leaders, Detroit and Baltimore are run mostly by black democrats/politicians and black leaders. A pesky unPC fact that no one wants to talk about.
We won't be close to solving this problem if we keep our heads in the sand and avoid the hard truths. We need to have the courage to get the dirty laundry out on the table so we can see it clearly to find real solutions, not the fluff (oh, let's not offend anyone!!) that liberals and scaredy-cat republicans dole out.

I said that Baltimore and Detroit have been run by Democrats for decades and they're seriously screwed up cities....and I'm right as usual.
There are no Republican parallels to the cities the Dems have run for decades where crime is rampant, police have no control and are attacked for doing their jobs, where there's no money to pay the bills -looking at your Detroit, Chicago, E. St. Louis, Baltimore. It is true that some Dem run cities and states (my state and primary city are Dem run and run well) but all terrible cities where you have to fear for your life in the USA are Dem controlled....all of them.
Is there a such thing as a Republican run big city? Large population cities tend to be more liberal, even in the reddest of states. Though if you stopped to look at cities like Detroit and Baltimore (because recent riots have put it in the news cycles,) you would see that it has less to do with any one political party and more to do with economy industries and social issues.

Heck, Brooklyn had some riots and some really bad neighborhoods that you are now lucky if you can even afford to live in them, and the biggest riot they have to deal with is if a new Shake Shack opens up.

Yeah.
If you can get relatively cheap housing and land right outside the city line, people who can afford to leave, leave, and the businesses follow them. Maryland is so expensive though that if the people and businesses of Baltimore want to leave they need to leave the region entirely or pay a lot more money for rent/land. Basically you get Detroit when the city sucks and the cost of getting out is relatively low, both monetarily and spatially. Baltimore isn't in the same boat, for better or worse.

Highly doubt it. The Baltimore area is much different.
