I'll bet $100 there's a thread on DU with plenty of high fives and general agreement, it's the kind of statement that has some legs.
It is the kind of thing that causes completely controlled question/answer sessions. These national races are won through huge media buys, a pretty face, the odd good quip, and a lack of gotchas. Succcession is always the key problem built into any kind of system of government and the US one can be ridiculous, but the alternatives never look that much better.
