San Francisco based Uber announced new policy banning firearms both by driver and passengers. How they expect to enforce this is another issue.
More symbolism from the Left Coast.
I use Uber often, and this policy matters not to me.
Reminds me of a recent policy by a coffee shop chain!
Everyone except robbers and gang members that need a ride will abide by that rule.
How many passengers carry guns in that city?
As useful as banning flying carpets.
I do not have a CCL. But I carry my weapon everyday.
That is called freedom, with liberties.
I will never ask permission to protect myself & my family.
When I got off the plane in Atlanta, I when to the luggage to get my bags. I unlocked and opened my suitcase and got my 38 out and placed it back in it's holster, on my hip and walk through the airport and out the door to the hotel shuttle. Everyone around saw, and said nothing.
They are taking on a big liability by making it impossible for either their drivers or customers to defend themselves. Hopefully they get sued rather quickly after one of their defenseless employees is victimized.
Huber TSA metal detector stands coming soon to a city near you...

I will argue with the words of the US Constitution in court... Shall not be infringed.
I will never ever be judged by another man. There is only one judgement day.
Only We The People can amend the US Constitution. Not them the government, with statutory laws.
Give me liberty, or give me death. I do not abide by the laws of man. As they can only oppress my freedom.
It ain't illegal, until you get caught.
Gun laws were created after the Civil War..... To keep weapons from the freemen(former black slaves)
The Southern States were going to uphold the Constitution and allow black men to own and carry weapons. The Northern States said Hell NO.
Texas being the first to allow Black men, their FULL 2nd amendment rights.
Reconstruction & Reconstitution in the late 1860's and into the 1870's... The federal government appointed the southern state legislatures. Look at the state constitutions, created by the federal government appointed state legislatures during reconstitution... GUN LAWS appeared. The states chose, either conceal carry, or open carry... One or the other. Later court rulings interpreted it to mean neither could happen, only long guns could be openly carried.
Shall not be infringed, was infringed.

That applies to the government, not individual business owners.

Yet, if you break the law you will be.

It's called respect for the wishes of others. But........

As a business owner I have the right to refuse service to anyone I please.
I'm not anyone's slave. Thus I will have a price so big, they will go elsewhere, or I make it worth my time if they go with the way inflated price.
You seem to believe that you have the right to set the way you will do business but others don't?

Under the second Amendment it is not illegal to transport arm in a safe configuration. California is having its restrictive guns over turned everyday.
California problems in gun violence is not legal gun owners , but Gang related violence. Dis arming all Californians is not the answer, maybe for the gangs, but not certainly for home defense and protection on the roads and population centers of the big cities.
Right now the courts are over turning CWP guidelines for San Diego Country as too restrictive and the term for "Good Reasoning" is being thrown out.
Citizens in good standing have the right to protect themselves.
Let the cards fall where they may.
Freedom and liberty, is not being bullied by those more powerful than I.
As I said, there is only one judgment day in my lifetime. Anything else, is life and being free. When I no longer have my freedom and oppressed from another man. You better never let me out. I will take the liberty of those that oppressed me, with death.
