The only large scale geoengineering project that I'm aware of was Project Argus.
Project Argus was a top-secret military test aimed at detonating atomic bombs in space to generate an artificial radiation belt, disrupt the near-space environment, and possibly intercept enemy missiles. It, and the later tests conducted by both the U.S. and the Soviet Union, peaked with H-bomb detonations in space in 1962 that created an artificial [electro]magnetic [radiation] belt that persisted for 10 years. There has been and continues to be lots major climate modification programs. Most now days are highly classified so the public is not aware of them. But many previous projects are not classified or now de-classified and can be researched like project Stormfury.
I guess it's just a coincidence that global climate scientists, the United Nations and global government officials are all pushing hard to convince the people of the world that global Geoengineering needs to be started immediately on a massive scale. The leading geoengineering method proposed by these scientists is Solar Radiation Management (SRM). The method of delivery is using high flying aircraft that will spray aerosols that will leave trails in the sky, expand, and block sunlight, which will cool the earth and counter global warming. These scientists are now claiming that SRM geoengineering will alter the global weather system.
These are all facts that the global scientists are telling us and they are telling us we must start SRM geoengineering now or we will suffer catastrophic consequences.
The funny thing is that what they describe as SRM geoengineering is exactly what we see today and it started globally in 2008.

A complete description of the actual machine or other subject matter for which a patent is sought is required.

The Soviets were strongly suspected of attempting climate modification before and during the 1980 Olympics in Moscow. They were known to have used weather modification to dissipate radiation emissions from the Chernobyl disaster. The Chinese bragged about their weather modification program before and during the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.
These chemtrail believers are nuts. You actually believe the gov. would ok the spraying of these, knowing its being sprayed on everyone, even his own family. If you stayed in school. you would know what they're make of.
The governments and United Nations want to overtly start geoengineering and specifically they want to start Solar Radiation Management which is the aerosol spraying from high flying aircraft all around the world. They just don't call it "chemtrails" ... they call it "geoengineering".

Operation Popeye was the US weather modification program during the Vietnam War.
If SRM was being deployed then certain people would claim they were chemtrails.
