Not to be political about 'GWTW'... I've seen it more than once, first time myself at nearly twenty years old. I thought it was probably the most useless movie I had ever seen. Saw it again and was convinced. Today, I still think so.
It won 8 Academy Awards. Most see it as a classic.

Look up Rudy (9/11) Giuliani and the Brooklyn Museum and prepare to retract that blatantly false statement.
To be honest Gone with the Wind played a large role in romanticizing the South and the Confederacy in popular culture. The ideas that everything was better before the North invaded - which was true if you excluded non-slaveholding whites and slaves themselves - and that the war wasn't really about slavery, was born during this period.
It's not going to be banned anyway what with the First Amendment and all. But both the book and film played a huge role in creating this great mythical South that Confederate flag supporters seem to believe in.
Are the Teabaggers just getting stupider by the day? Liberals unlike conservatives never challenge freedom of speech. It's a good glimpse into the minds of Tea people that their little pea brains can't distinguish between government tacit approval and outright bans.
Tea party has nothing to do with this, you going to have to invent somebody else to take your hate on, so quit making up stuff snd try again
The CONFEDERATE FLAG is going away...that's the important part. All it stands for is under assault, nationwide.
Let's stay focused.
That makes me feel much safer, thank you. Just like banning drugs has stopped drug abuse and gun registration has stopped gun murders.
If we have enough laws and ban everything that offends somebody life will be perfect.
