This reminds me of the huge apartment complex where I grew up. Everyone was poor, some worked, some on welfare. As was the area at the time, it was predominantly white. The complex was nice and clean, well kept up, with beautiful lawns and pools and a huge laundry room. Every apartment was off a sidewalk and I remember seeing people sweeping "their sidewalk" to keep everything nice.

The complex is now almost all welfare, and mostly black. When you walk through, it's still painted, lawns clipped, pool maintained. But there's bags of trash everywhere--it's apparently too hard to take the trash to the trash cans. There's damage everywhere--laundry room looks like someone was using a hammer on the walls and machines get broken into and robbed too often to keep up with.

I guess when everything is given to you, there's no value, and no reason to bother to keep it nice.

You know what else this is... this is spreading out the needy folks who need liberals to maintain their livelihood... who will likely vote for liberals.

The Federal Government has decided to relocate the poverty from the inner cities, to the suburbs. There is no doubt that these policies, and programs are having a devastating effect on many neighborhoods across the country. It seems that working class neighborhoods are being effected the most. This a real shame, the working class have already been taking a real beating in this new economy, and now they are seeing their neighborhoods destroyed by policies beyond they control.
It is good to relocate ghetto closer to where their prey lives.

Of course, this being Obama's country, we are all equal but some are more equal than others so does anyone here want to bet me that Martha's Vineyard will not remain ghetto free? How about HUD ghetto housing in Atherton, California maybe across the street where the Facebook freak lives?

Not a chance, these people that live in these places are more equal than you so it will not be allowed.

Yes, just in California, the following counties/cities/neighborhoods should be safe:

Marin County: Belvedere, Ross, Tiburon, Kentfield, Seadrift, Stinson Beach, Muir Beach, Bolinas

San Francisco: Pacific Heights, Presideo Heights, Sea Cliff, Nob Hill, Russian Hill, Telegraph Hill, Marina, Cow Hollow

San Francisco Peninsula: Hillsborough, Atherton, Woodside, Portola Valley, Los Altos Hills, Saratoga

Santa Cruz County

Monterey County

San Luis Obispo County

Santa Barbara County

Los Angeles: Malibu, Pacific Palisades, Brentwood, Bel-Air, Holmby Hills, Beverly Hills, Palos Verdes/Rolling Hills peninsula, San Marino

Orange County: Newport Beach, Emerald Bay, Laguna Beach, Dana Point, Seal Beach

San Diego County: Rancho Santa Fe, Del Mar

Lake Tahoe area

Northern California in general, not including Sacramento

Just be worth about $20 million minimum if you want to own a decent place; otherwise, make $150,000 a year minimum if you want to rent.

I'm sure Obama will be a neighbor in one of these areas. One that has a nice golf course.
