During a rally on Capitol Hill celebrating Medicare's 50th anniversary, presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders highlighted his support for a single-payer health-care system, a position that separates him from his rivals for the Democratic nomination.

Quote:
“The time has come to say we need to expand Medicare to cover every man, woman and child as a single-payer national health-care program,” Sanders said.

Sanders said he would introduce legislation “in the very near future” that would make health care a right, a goal he touts on the campaign trail and one that he has fought for unsuccessfully in Congress in the past."

I like his response to pundits who say it has no chance of ever passing: “All of the pundits always tell us what we cannot accomplish until the day after we accomplish it.”

Sanders continues to hit the issues that affect and concern middle class Americans the most.

Anything and I mean anything is better than Obamacare sux. Why don't we look at countries like Spain and France that have effective and reasonable cost systems and copy them.

More accurately, he advocates for middle class taxpayers to foot leeches' healthcare bills.

Bernie is mathematically challenged. He could take 100% of all earnings from all the rich people in the country and it still wouldn't cover it.

Thumbs up Bernie Sanders Advocates For Single-Payer Healthcare System on Medicare Anniversary

That's what we should have gotten 5 years ago instead of the ACA.

I look forward to my health care rationing and expanded government bureaucracy.

Boy oh boy do the health insurers, pharmaceuticals and corporate hospitals
have to stop this one..

They will fight for the right to be middlemen to the death.

100% of the GOP and probably 50% of Democrats are already
on their lobby roll.

The fact that healthcare costs more when there is an unnecessary
layer of corporate welfare in between the provider and recipient
is undeniable.

But conservatives demand that single payer never be adapted, due to the long waits, up to months, for surgeries in countries, like Spain and France, which have it.
