Hopefully the cops fired back, took out a bunch of these 'protesters' and taught them a lesson. Something tells me though that these people don't understand a lesson when they get one. Probably a product of their upbringing.
Whether you are with the protesters our not, the overwhelming majority of protesters there are trying to create change peacefully.
I do think that nationally people vilify police too much. I also an not a fan of Grey, because he was a violent man. So the incident a year ago may have been justified. But there is no doubt already existing tension in the community before that happened.
There comments in this thread lead me to believe that they are right about many things. The way many of you just group everyone there together to sign negative labels sites that there is still a lot of ignorance that needs to be overcome.
No, they're not. And if you truly believe that, then you're a part of the problem. If they want to bring change peacefully, then they could start by going home and taking care of their kids. Or if they don't have any yet, then they should be going home anyway so they can get up early the next day and go out looking for a job or something productive to do with their time.
Instead they go out and complain about police brutality, or whatever the current chosen target is to deflect blame. Each and every one of them is a loser. Maybe a few of them will realize that one day and make a change in themselves, but most probably won't.
They group themselves together chanting no peace and or else. Then you want to cry they arent part of the violence.
"Or else" could mean that they will effect change that will oust all of the politicians.
We live in a free country. While people can take that chant as a threat, it is not direct and specific. We s citizens are allowed to protest the institutions that we live under.
The vast majority did not participate in any violence. It's just the nature of singer people here to lump then ask together. If you are guilty of doing that, instead of defending it, you should be introspective and question why you would do such an un-American thing.

What's your definition of no peace? Your or else definition is pathetic in the context of no peace.

None of the anti black racists are writing about Darren Wilson dysfunctional parent.
There hasn't been any type of riot at this time in Ferguson. The Peacefest has been multi racial and non violent this weekend. Of course storm front or fox news will never report on the economic development occurring in and around Ferguson.
A new level of being wrong! Even for you this is amazing. Are you blind and deaf or just so warped in your viewpoint that you can't see what is right in front of you. People looting, shooting and screaming they are ready for war qualifies as a riot in my book.
Why would anyone even recognize the anniversary of the death of a bully and a thug?
It's real simple. As long as they bully and thug is black his conduct and actions make no difference and are completely excused. They prefer bullies and thugs of this type to law abiding, hard working citizens of any color because the bully and thug contingent doesn't make their own failures so obvious.

These protestors are using Criminals and Junkies as their Hero's. The marches honor these Criminals.
Hard not to "group everyone there together" - when they cheerfully group themselves with their poor choice of a Hero. The Eric Holder Department of Justice could not find any reason to prosecute Wilson after the Hero/Gentle Giant robbed a store and then attacked Officer Wilson and tried to take his gun.
They burned Ferguson, they looted and destroyed and now they come back to Honor Michael Brown - call for "war" and loot again. There is a lot of "ignorance" in Ferguson and it begins with the attempt to turn Michael Brown into a Hero-Martyr.
How do you (or they) expect any reform of anything with such poor choices & violent people who have no respect for Law and Order OR private property?
