To say Israel is the bully on the block is like saying the 99 lb weakling is the stud on the beach ... outnumbered surrounded and a history of people killing them and Israel should not be concerned?

Doesn't it seem a bit strange that we spend more on defense than the next 7-10 countries combined yet still feel threatened by third world turds?

our military spending is right in line with almost every country out there...france even spends MORE percentage of their GDP on their military
but when you guys talk about defense spending you want to use raw numbers...meanwhile less than 700 billion is the defense budget.....and if you look at % of GDP, we spend less (3.4%) than many other countries, france even spends MORE percentage of their GDP on their military, china spends 3.9% of its gdp on military.....france's defense budget is 500 million euro...while their gdp is about 1.4 trillion(((hmm....they spend a full third of their GDP on defense)))
half the budget is the pay and upgrading living conditions of the underpaid, under-appreciated soldiers,
if anything the pay and living conditions of the soldiers should be improved
why do the fascist liberals always want to cut their own throats ??
we cut the military nearly in half back in the 90's..then we find that when a conflict arises we have to ''build back up'' and 'modernize' because we had cut too far

we ALREADY cut the military in half...from 1991-present...we literaly cut the military in half...and privatized the support branches that were military (food, supplies etc)....what it has done is left us WEAK (un able to have a sustained war on 2 fronts), and has been 10x more costly than having the cold war levels of military
what we need to do is get rid of the PRIVITIZATION, and BUILD the military,,, back to 1980's levels
your arguements will mean nothing without going after the clinton/gore privatization of the military
also UNDO the mess made by clintons Sec of Defense .William Perry, who 'reorganized' the reserves/national guard.(started by les aspin the previous Sec of Def).....this 'reorganization' removed all combat arms from the Army reserves and placed them in the National Guard.......thereby making it that during a combat operation like iraq, the National guard will be called up to go to theather instead of being left stateside to DEFEND the Country

If that isn't enough, how about the slaughter of their own citizens? They attack Kurds, Ahwazi's, Baluchi's, Baha'i, Azari's, Lurs, Christians, Jews, political oposition parties, journalists, etc, etc,,,.
and let's not forget: installing mines in straight of Hormuz back in 1988. A bunch of them arrested by U.S navy. The funny part was all those who were arrested red handed when they were installling mine on straight of hormuz, they were requesting political refugee visa from U.S. They didn't want to go back to Iran or work for mullahs.
