It you look at the history of America it seems pretty clear to me that it is the progressively liberal ideology and actions that by and large make the already wealthy richer and inhibit the poor from breaking the poverty cycle.

A couple of examples are the Federal reserve act in 1913 which basically straps down the common man with debt and welfare which pays people just enough to make ends meet but gives little incentive to break the cycle.

Why are liberal progressives so easily fooled into thinking it is the conservatives fault for being poor and strapped when it is clearly the opposite?

Dems represent the top 1% and the bottom 20%. They hate the middle class.

True-

Keep in mind that liberalism has its basis in totalitarianism and seeks a system in which enlightened elites rule over a slave class proliteriat. As you noted (as did Stalin), the middle class is one of the chief impediments of socialism/communism and therefore has always been a target of the left.

Let us review how the left has destroyed the middle class-

1. Federal Reserve (as you noted) creates a transfer of wealth in the form of labor from the middle class to elite bankers.

2. Johnson's Great Society- created generational welfare and destruction of the family unit. In the 1920s, over 80% of black families were two parent families. Now we have governmental policies which provide incentives for single parent families, unwed mothers, and generational welfare.

3. Immigration policy- prior to Ted Kennedy in the 1960s, the US had quotas for immigration from different nations, favoring those nations with more highly educated, productive citizens. Since that time, the US has been flooded with uneducated, cheap labor, driving down relative wages and removing the middle class from construction, food processing, and other manual labor jobs. Flooding the job market with cheap labor drives down wages.

4. Trade Policy- NAFTA and China most favored nation trade policies (Clinton) have gutted the US manufacturing base and the middle class, sending good factory jobs overseas. Now we have Obama screwing the middle class more with the Pacific Rim trade agreement.

5. Dumping Glass-Steagle- a gift of Clinton. An important piece of regulation was removed which allowed Wall Street to engage in higher risk policies- the tab for this failure was picked up by the middle class.

6. Granting J-1 visas to foreign tech and IT workers to drive middle class American tech workers out of a job.

7. Affirmative action and preferential treatment of minorities and illegals over US citizens. Many minorities and illegals are able to go to college essentially free, which US middle class citizens have to try to make it on their own.

Libs hate the middle class; that is why their policies have been created to destroy that segment of US society. The more poor, dependent, uneducated citizens, the more democrats there are. This delivers power to the liberal elites who are able to rule over the nation like fuedal lords.

liberalism = totalitarianism

True. They have enslaved the poor by making them ever more dependent on government hand outs. Nearly every week we read about someone who works fewer hours because the new pay raise will cause him to "make too much", or someone who is waiting until after the baby is born to get married because the government will pay for much more if your are "single and poor"...

It's going to be hard to back it all out of the system, but it has to be done.

Case in point: Germany. Their social support laws worked very well until now. Now, refugees are flooding into Germany to take advantage of all that generosity. They could very well destroy the country. Notice they walk right past Greece; that country is out of money.

Liberal policies encourage people to be come dependent on government;IMO. Also the courts have made employers more responsible for employees actions ;so they have to vet employees better and better; reject some with histories of problems. Perhaps trail lawyers are the most influential special interest group in the Democratic party.

Republicans oppose high min wage laws and workers unions, both of which give workers high wages.

Republicans also oppose middle class tax cuts.
GOP Senators Reject Tax Cuts for Middle Class - CBS News

Republicans practice supply side/trickle down economics, by definition these are tax cuts for large corporations and the very rich. Republican tax policies themselves cause income inequality.

Look at GW Bush's tax cuts. The richest 1% of Americans got 52% of the Bush tax cuts, and the middle 20% of Americans got 10% of the tax cuts.

Or look at Mitt Romney's tax plan that gave nothing to the middle class or small businesses, instead it would have given everything to large corporations and the very rich.

And its the same in 2016. Republican supply side tax policies will give tax cuts to the rich, while opposing high min wages and middle class tax cuts.

Obama and the democrats tried to raise tax rates on billionaire CEO's, but the republicans stopped them. How can democrats represent the top 1% when they try to raise their tax rates?

Plus republicans always say "democrats want to punish the rich."

How in the hell can democrats represent the top 1% when republicans themselves say "democrats want to punish the rich"????

I had no idea we ever had an intelligent immigration policy.
This would be good information for people to get --- clearly the difference is huge in our country since we endorsed stupid immigration policies. We are now at the bottom in education, have nearly lost the middle class due to illegals taking their jobs and creating low wages, and the crime and poverty has increased. Plus we have to say if we want things in English now.
