Iran would be a very different country right now had we NOT stepped in in 1953 and aided the overthrow of a democratically elected Prime Minister.
America would IMO be a much better country had we not stepped into any number of other countries and attempted to control their destinies and instead focused on controlling our own destiny.

Anytime we take out a leader there are unintended consequences, even if that is a possibility do we really need a civil war in Iran, is there not enough on the worlds plate. I noticed even Northern Ireland took a step back, we need less crazy in the world not more wars.
Absolutely! I've dated one of their women before, absolutely beautiful inside and out, generally speaking, I haven't met a Persian that gave me the vibe that they want to kill me. Their government on the other hand.. I understand we didn't treat Iran great in the past by employing a dictator that wanted nothing short of complete power over his people and we pulled the strings, therefore I can empathize with them on that, but that was the past. Once they took over our Embassy, then we shot down their plane, things changed dramatically for our relations.
