So do most Americans. But that doesn't stop Obama from using tragedies to push for gun control here in the USA.

Maybe Obama doesn't want to acknowledge that France already has very tight gun control, and as demonstrated by this tragedy, didn't do anything at all to stop it. In fact it only makes it impossible for people to defend themselves.

Sad that after the horrible situation happening in France that someone had to try to blame Obama for some part of it

Uh, aren't guns illegal in France? That would kind of negate the need to preach about gun control when there are no guns to control.

"This is an attack not just on Paris, not just on the people on France, but an attack on all humanity and the universal values we share," President Barack Obama said at the White House. He called the attacks an "outrageous attempt to terrorize innocent civilians."
so according to obama, a mass shooting in the US is a reason for gun control, where as outside the US it is an attack on humanity, and an attempt to terrorize innocent civilians. got it.

Indeed.

So why doesn't Obama use the opportunity to say that gun control doesn't do a damn thing to stop mass shootings? Admit that he was wrong.

Leave it to Right-Wing fanatics to turn a tragedy, even before the bodies are cold, into an attack on Obama.
