My theory? The workplace was not their intended target for a terrorist attack. They were still in the planning stage for something bigger to happen later on in the year or even next. But a workplace argument caused the guy to jump the gun, so he grabbed some weapons and his wife/co-murdering bit*h and went back to the party hell bent on doing damage and they did. How else can we explain all the pipe bombs and ammo they left behind at the residence? They didn't think they'd get caught and killed so easily by law enforcement or he was so mad he didn't think about that aspect at all.
Yes, but they had already destroyed phones/electronics etc. to try and cover their digital tracks? Perhaps the bigger attack was to be within days, not months...
It was a tad precious that within 15 minutes of the attorney press conference whereby it was disclosed that no one in the family had ever seen her face as she completely covered, ABC released her picture.
Attorney also said the wife had never spoken to any male family members because of tradition.
Without the benefit of hindsight, the mothers and families of most mass murderers were clueless, too.
So it looks like the K-1 fiance visa is yet another way to get into our country.
41,000 fiance visas were issued last year which was a spike from previous years (24K-30K).
Once married they can get a green card.
The K1 visa was created in the 70's in conjunction with Vietnamese brides. Millions have been granted residency, green cards and eventually citizenship by marriage. The focus has been on the " Russian Bride" thing- fake arranged marriages, not terrorism. K1 visas are also issued to unmarried children under the age of 21 who accompany the finance. For example, almost 5000 of the 41,000 K1 visas issued in 2014 were issued to children.
The Internet is chock full of brokered bride websites frequented by US men looking for women.

You don't rent a vehicle with out of state plates, abandon your child, and destroy your digital footprint over an argument that hasn't happened yet.

They have to be clueless. You think they are going to say they knew something but did nothing about it ?

Good point. Hopefully the Feds will be able to get something off those destroyed phones so no one has to speculate anymore. They are working frantically at that just in case this couple was part of a bigger plot underway. I feel badly for the people of San Bernardino who have to live with that cloud over their heads after all they've been through already.

I hadn't heard that the vehicle was rented from out of state. But there is no way to know when they destroyed their digital footprint. It could have easily been after the workplace argument when the guy came home to pick up his wife and weapons. How do you explain all the pipe bombs and ammo they left behind?
Do you think it's really weird that Law Enforcement turned the house the Islamic terrorists lived in (with their possessions inside), back over to the man who owned the house who in turn let reporters tramp all through it and touch stuff? Yes, I know they took some stuff out.
Is it because there will be no trial for the dead terrorists?
And why isn't the old lady who lived with them under arrest?
The " old lady" was taken into custody and has been subjected to exhaustive interrogation by the FBI, according to the family's attorney. The infant was removed from the home by CPS.
This " old lady" is going no place.
There is no shortage of mass murderers in the US. Parents are interrogated and released. None claim any knowledge that their child was planning a mass murder.
