Obama: gun control will deter terrorists...

Ask Obama why it hasn't worked in France. 3 terrorist attacks in the last year.

Average citizen there finds it almost impossible to legally own a gun or purchase ammunition for protection.

I used to be an NRA member and I still think that we need a strong organization to protect our rights to bear arms. However; I stopped supporting them when they switched to a stance supporting so many military grade weapons - of course I am aware that we can debate terms. I always figured, that in the long run, this would hurt the organization.

Today I cannot figure out why we would sell any weapons to any individual on a no-fly list or on an official 'watch' list. But that can also be debatable because anybody should be able to challenge that no-fly or watch list determination - but we might not want them to know they are on a watch list? Also you have to look at all of the language in any proposed bill - which is what organizations, like the NRA, do with their member's money.

In PA deer season is currently in progress. Yesterday, as I sat at my computer, I heard a hunter shoot at a deer on the other side of the road from us. He obviously severely wounded the deer. Generally speaking you wait for half an hour before you start to track the animal to allow it to bleed to death. PA does allow hunters to 'trespass' in order to retrieve any wounded animal. But this hunter gave chase to the wounded animal; I know because he fired one round ever few minutes. I would not even mention this; but he chased and shot at the deer right through the middle of a development next to me. Most of the lots are one acre lots in that development; but, even though you can trespass to retrieve, does not give anybody the right to shoot next to your house. He was using a weapon that sounded like the 30-06 - which is more than capable of passing through many walls and people. He was obviously more concerned about his trophy than he was about the safety of the individuals in the development.

I am not anti-hunting or anti-gun ownership. But I do believe that guns are not for everybody. Some people need better training and some people should not have access period.

On the other side of the isle, we have to prevent more terrorist from coming in. You cannot have open door policies for everybody.

I'm for arming any American who isn't looneytoons or a crook...and who wants to have a weapon. I'm for a federal firearms handling program and a national carry license for anyone who would like one

I'm for taking security away from politicians....which might make them better politicians

I'm all for gun rights, but let's not say crazy things and let's just be honest here. It is what it is.

I suppose you call yourself a Republican? Suppose you're all for small government and religious liberty? Suppose you consider yourself a Constitutionalist?

Pfff... No better than a Liberal if you ask me. Just the opposite side of the coin.

Chicago has strict gun control laws. They're a joke. The criminals have guns anyway (break one law, why not more?).

How f*cking stupid can liberals/Dems be?

the only fly in the ointment of CA gun laws was Democrat state senator Yee. An anti gun legislator arrested for selling everything from firearms to rockets and explosives.

Need a gun, just go to your local democartic hypocrit.

Wonder if someof Yees guns get traced to crimes or if CA and BB supress this info to avoid damage to their political agenda?

We hear that computers etc were taken fromthe terrorists home, you think they will be set aside and never looked at like all the intel taken from bin laden's lair collecting dust on the shelf??
