"Most eras", definitely not.
"Some eras", yes.

You will find that corporation blaming, jealousy of success, a desire to redistribute wealth in the name of "fairness" and a lot of other things that are cornerstones of far left dogma tend to carry greater currency at times in our country when success is difficult for ordinary people to attain as a result of external economic forces.

There was a huge communist/socialist element in the depression years (when people were near starving), there was an equally strident anti-communist element in the 50's, when prosperity for the everyman was raining from the sky.

The left loses ground when our nation is financially prosperous (ala the election of GWB), they gain ground when our nation is going through rough economic times (like right now)

Keep in mind, the president has very, very little power to make an economy better- in a free market society, that is virtually a pure market issue.
The president can SCREW UP an economy with about as much effort as it takes to flip a light switch.
I would wager a full 95% of the population hasn't the slightest clue about economics (particularly the more advanced economic dynamics that dictate the economy) so they simply assign praise or blame to the political parties or the president.
Usually, the praise is false, but the blame can be well founded.

For me, I think all liberals = communism because they obey one simple rule... If you "steal" money from one group to "give" it to another group, that is communism... for liberals, its called "social policy"... so until they abandon their "social policy" then I will see them as "communists" in guise...

Then Disney uses Robinhood to show American kids that that's ok!

I haven't read any posts in here except for the first one, so if this has already been said, then my apologies.

Liberalism is associated with communism/socialism because of its history and how it was form. In the beginning, there was just Classical liberalism. At a certain time, socialism was beginning to appeal to some Americans. Some of the Liberals liked the idea, while the rest thought it totally contradicted what they stood for. These former classical liberals just took on the name liberals while the rest took on the name libertarian. Not all liberals are socialists or communists, but their split from the original party was motivated by their support of socialism. Even though liberals support human rights, they still have a lot of beliefs that lean towards socialism. Affirmative action is a liberal thing. Social security and welfare are also. Libertarians do not believe in these things. Hope that cleared things up.

Try as you may, the number of hot liberal chicks are hard to count on one hand. And I mean really hot, not just acceptable looking.

Here's a sample

1) Just because you are jealous of success, doesn't mean you should put the crystal ball into other people's motivations.

2) "external economic forces". Such as lobbyists perfecting laws to benefit the wealthy minority? Such as corporations losing all sense of shared responsibility compared to the past? Such as corporations losing all sense of loyalty to both their employees and their customers?

GWB has not YET rained in a financially prosperous time. Hey, he has a few more months. Maybe he'll get lucky.

And he can influence the LENGTH of the downturn, and the depth of it.

Political agendas do have an influence on the economy, otherwise the stock market (which really doesn't measure how Joe average is doing), would not be effected by the headlines.
