My husband thinks that most gun owners are so terrified of any sort of change to the gun laws because they think it will lead to them losing their firearms. They become irrational and flip out over common sense ideas.
Then your husband is mentally unstable and should not be allowed to own a gun. That should solve your problem.
At the very least, require Obama or whoever to present his idea for an EO to the citizens prior to trying to force it down our throats. The people decide what is best for themselves, not Obama.
Common sense would ask how you know that people are buying guns based on "irrational reasoning and paranoia". Or do you just make assumption and state it as fact?
Obama has never committed an impeachable offense, let alone treason... That's ridiculous...
Not enforcing the oath that he took prior to taking office? Swearing to uphold the laws of the nation? Violating that oath is certainly an impeachable offense.
Oh, I see. Anyone who doesn't agree with you and your husband is a lunatic.... Must be nice to live on that pedestal..
Not a lunatic. His opinion is that the mere mention of gun control laws causes many gun owners to cringe and jump to the worst of conclusions. Over and over in this post you've seen people state things that are completely unsupported by any factual information (citing blogs and extremely unreliable sources). They're claiming it's going to be a law (it wouldn't be a law). They're even pointing out that any time gun control issues are brought to the forefront ammo and firearm sales increase - ALL of these things support his idea.
Obama could ask that background checks become more extensive or propose that we close the gun show loophole and people would be saying "he's trying to take our guns". It happens all the time.

Actually I don't say that at all.. I say he is trying to dictate by decree.....I disagree with your premise on background checks and the loophole is a fantasy. We already have background checks.
And the Winner of the Red Herring award is...Three Wolves with his marvelous attempt at deflection of the issue under discussion from an act in the Senate, to a candidate running for an entirely different office.
You can't dream this tripe up, folks... it take a real Red Herring Maestro like Herring Bone to pull something like this off!!
Way to completely miss the point in your self aggrandizing parade you just threw.
