Why? He had NO idea there was anyone in the car.

Why do you insist on holding cops accountable for bad information they are given?

Yes, what happened was horrible. I feel so bad for that child and her father who had to hear those screams.

But once again, lack of information caused a horrible tragedy. In that ENTIRE 2 minutes, WHY didn't the man mention ONE TIME that his daughter was in the car? You go on and on about "not being given time to react". Well, 2 MINUTES is plenty of time to react. Also, the person that called the cops identified the car that the suspect got in as the exact same car that this man was driving. Why the beef with the cops, and not the person calling in?
Yes, it's all the mans fault that had no idea what was going on. He should have just taken charge of the entire situation in those few moments because obviously he should have known what was going to happen.

who left in an SUV............

As police responded to the call, they quickly stopped the first person they saw, who happened to be Arturo Arenas-Alvarez.

They stopped the first person they saw in a SUV. No one said it was the exact same car. Be honest.

You don't release the dog if you don't have justification to release it. There wasn't any reason to release it.

Sensationalistic reporting meant to get everyone emotional.

The dog was not released to intentionally maul the baby. The dog was released because there was a communication barrier.

The drunk driver rarely intends to kill. Intent is only a portion of ones responsibilities.

You are absolutely amazing
A girl almost gets her arm taken off and the man was not even the one they were looking for and you try and turn it around that some how the citizens they are supposed to protect are at fault.

Disgusting

How about some personal responsibility and not going off on what dispatch or witness say and freaking THINK before acting. But then that would take some common sense.

We would have less incidents like this or stun grenades maiming infants in their crib for going to the wrong address.
