Sundar Pichai was named the new CEO (Chief Executive Officer) of Google in August 2015 in a significant restructuring at the search giant HQ. According to a regulatory filing by Google parent company, Alphabet Inc., Pichai has received a grant for 273,328 Class C Google stock units, worth about $199 million, which is set to make him the highest paid CEO in the United States.
And he become CEO in August so it's not even a year.
Now i'm not saying he should get $1M or so but whatever he's doing is it really worth this vast amount??
I know Google employees are also making good but they are probably on average at $100K range.
So he's paid like 2000x
What an unbelievable system.
I wonder how much tax he's gonna pay.
Probably not much
I guess on a 4 or 5 year tenure he'll be a billionaire.
And here we are talking about manufacturing and unemployment.
This is a broken system i'm afraid.
We can argue all day but i don't see light at the end of the tunnel

Like the AIG execs, somebody wants to give you 200 mill, you going to refuse to take it. It's not like these execs write their won check. The board of directors pay a competing salary and bonus to keep their guy. when a company makes billions, 200 mill is a drop in the bucket. Now when a CEO gets 23 mill bonus like at J&J two regimes ago, and under his tenure the companies reputation suffers from 'cost saving strategy', that's what bugs me. 200 mill salaries are excessive but 23 mill to a fumbler is more upsetting.
