Naive Trumplings don't seem to remember that presidents always get an approval boost after a SOTU speech.

It lasts a couple weeks or so, usually.

yep...... but for a conservative POTUS that's on par with praising getting a single in t-ball.

his RCP average is at -13.0. he did make some positive movement this week ( most likely due to the SOTU ) but i'd expect that to go south again quickly if there's another gov shutdown next week.

He'll do something to blow it, because he just can't help it.

My guess is that he won't even last two weeks.

The latest figures include 38% who Strongly Approve of the job Trump is doing and 41% who Strongly Disapprove. This gives him a Presidential Approval Index rating of -3.
When it comes to being in the dumpster, Trump easily beats Obama's record of -2 in the Rasmussen Poll. At the moment, 57% of Americans state they would not vote for Trump again.

True of the dems but independents when in the polling booth will vote for who will do the best job. Not married to either partys agenda. And it will all hinge on whom the dems choose to run. With some of the names being tossed around.. Trump will win by a landslide.
