Well, primarily it's leaving a rightful SCOTUS decision to a lower court .... AKA, not the intention of the framers of our Justice System.

They can always confirm him in November if Hillary wins the election.

If they wait til after the election, Hillary would select a more liberal Judge to fill the pot. The Senate Rs are making a bad bet. I think they need to cut their losses, and take the Moderate Judge while they can.

Well who are the republicans proposing, it would be nice if they actually had hearings so they can ask Garland questions isn't that their function. He seems very qualified, besides you never know how a justice will turn out as was the case with O'connor

Of course you do.

Your stance does NOT surprise anyone.

"Well who are the republicans proposing?"

U.S. Government 101. The Senate does NOT "propose". The PRESIDENT NOMINATES.

" it would be nice if they actually had hearings"

Do you think the dems would have held hearings after what Shumer and Biden said about the SAME circumstance?

If this goes past November and Clinton wins he may withdraw Garland, I actually heard one of the senators suggest waiting until the election to see who wins, I don't think that will work.

There are 24 republican and 10 democratic seats up for reelection, if they continue with this we will see how this plays out, 3 democrats and 3 republicans are retiring.

Right now it's 54-45 republican with one independent it could go democratic or close to even.

That's true, as a Centrist, I do prefer moderate Justices.

No, not really. One must consider the sources of information. Like Trump says, he "only knows what's on the internet".
