You guys have predicted Trumps demise since last Summer and he only continues to grow stronger, even after a $40 million dollar negative ad blitz from all angles.

Long game of Chess, time will tell.

I see.
Bork was blocked but Reagan's next nominee (Kennedy) was approved 97-0. Democrats didn't have an agenda to block ALL Reagan nominees. Bork was blocked based on his track record.

What would be even MORE entertaining would be for the Pubs to block Garland, then lose both the presidential election along with control of the senate. And that's VERY likely.

Talk about shooting themselves in the feet!

Then president Hill will appoint a lib who will sail through confirmation in a Dem senate.

Entertainment?

You bet!

Well then, you should not care if the Senate waits until the new President is sworn in, right? After all, you could potentially get a far more liberal judge so why oppose the Senate's actions?

The Republicans will still have 40+ Senators to filibuster the LWNJ that a President Hillary would nominate. Try again though!

Great point, why all the fuss? You Dems will get a much better pick after Hillary is elected, right? (Haaaa!)

We'll see how long that would last. Because no doubt something would come up in the senate that the Pubs would want desperately to move on. They'd have to pull that filibuster to get it.

That's how it works.

If the Democrats wish to shut down the government yet again, that's their call and they will pay the political price for it.

Republican Senators and Congressmen should not be allowed to vote on anything until after they are re-elected in November - it's not fair to have lame-duck Senators voting on important issues.

That's crazy talk.

Everyone but you knows who shut down the gummint each and every time.

<hint> Not the Dems.

Anyway, stop deflecting. This is about the supreme court nominee. Pubs better move very carefully or it'll come back to bite 'em hard. Of course, they haven't shown any sings of intelligence in years.

At least we aren't hearing about a Harriet Myers fiasco.
