"THE POOR" (remember, members of the The Poor = poor whites, working poor whites, women and minorities). have always followed the lead of the wealthy and become devastated by the pursuit to enjoin and emulate the activities engaged by the wealthy.
Unknowing of the inability to escape the encompassing madness of what they pursue to indulge.

We have to this date, a devastation of "THE POOR" (remember, members of the The Poor = poor whites, working poor whites, women and minorities). We have a wealthy sector who by all accounts profit through the madness and further downfall of "THE POOR" (remember, members of the The Poor = poor whites, working poor whites, women and minorities).

The income gaps widens, the political fervor and its aim to vilify which at the same time to sanctify the wealth. Has produced a chaos that is beyond belief in the divides and downfall of a nation and its people.

The decay of moral manner has led to the replacement of morality by the vices of Avarice, gluttony, sloth, and the many other vices that proceed to destroy a society from within, upon and against its own self.

We now, debate the acts of legalization and usage, we are now bombarded by a incessant saturation of commercial advertisement for drugs by any and many names, all framed into the making of a society dependent on the drugs for daily self maintenance.

We have no idea what has decimated our physical selves, nor the maladies which plague us from birth defects to conditions with no readily known cure, but we are presented with a cocktail of substances, which claim to be a fix for one things, while at the same time producing side effects, which over time become its own full blown effect. All to be treated with more drugs, but no pursuit for an actual cure.

Drug manipulations now fill our food supply, our livestock is injected with a cocktail aimed at producing more revenue at a higher volume, and no one has factored the impact and collateral effects within what is the human being.

We can't pronounce the names, nor know the make up of the substances; as many professional word-oligist are hired to covertly craft names which seek to confound but pretentiously diminish the awareness of what we consume.

One can't buy a simple cookie, or baby's milk without a list of language on the label with words that are meaningless to the general public.

Now, what are we posed with? Organic vs non organic; of which the claim of organic is often too costly for THE POOR to purchase for consumption, so they get the "non-organic" chemically engineered with simulated chemical concocted flavoring.

Yes, "Drugs",....... not just the street cocktail but those who are sanctioned within industry, all of which when exposed, they tell us, within 10 yrs they will eliminate such substance. Meanwhile these drugs are continued to be mixed and packaged and sold to us, while the profit seekers have no urgency to provide products exempt of these substances. We've become addicted to the 'acquired taste" of these substances to the point we reject, "wholesome goods and products with non drug saturation within their composition.

What.....!!!! is it that we are too unintelligent to know, and too blind that we now yield our trust without question? The billionaire makers of these products and substance are concerned with profit and minimal loss mitigation, as we rush out with a fetish mentality chasing the attractively packaged addictive concoctions. We have so little awareness to demand choice of non toxic substance and foods, we buy what is presented and we are tempted and prodded by the incessant commercial presentation of fictitious imagery, telling us, this is the thing to get, have and consume.

In an honorable society, medicine will be used for the sickness to cure, not just to treat, but our society does not pursue the cure, only the prolonged profit making system of "treatment". Unfortunately as it is, we've become to need these treatments, in absence of a cure, and such treatments and the side effects simply leads us to more treatment of yet another complication. We have few options to reverse the process.

Nature made many things which provide the cure for many things, but man and his profit making synthesis has created simulations of such things in mass quantity, until we know not what we get, nor what we are given and in the process, void of these treatments we find ourselves either in great agony, pain, despair and erosion of our physical selves and sometimes our psychological selves. We are a society - groomed now into the substances which are far and removed from what is "natural and wholesome".
We missed the mark to understand and be a society which uses medicine to cure, but we now use the knowledge of what is medicines to do things beyond what was the original aim of natural derived medicines.

We have but little choice in the matter, but to continue to treat the conditions, some of which became hereditary passed along and far beyond our knowledge, we know not what changes it has produced in the DNA of our being.

Society has always needed medicines, and during the adventures of man around the world, to many ancient tribal regions they pursued the knowledge to the tribal medicine men, to know what they used of natural elements to cure, and in the process, not only were these things hoarded, they were later mixed and morphed by synthetic process as a claim to provide for more by cost effectiveness. Again, we see what_ Greed exceeding the care of the human condition.

Is there profit in the cure of cancer, or is there more profit in the treatment? What an expansive question!!!! A cure would decimate a multi-trillion dollar system. Will society run by wealth allow such a cure to become the dominant focus? These are broad questions, with and unknown answer at this given time in our history of humanity.

We have a society filled with High Blood Pressure, Diabetic, Cholesterol and many many things common now UNTO 10's and 100's of million of people. The question is "WHY AND HOW" ?

The theme of the article from the OP is : War on drugs-horribly driven by racist-origins

Can man enact a war against one sector of humanity without it becoming a reverberation impact on all of humanity?

How does it play into the social, commodity production of consumables, political position and posturing and every aspect of the human life? These are Broad questions that go back further than we have the awareness and knowledge to trace. The good, the bad and the indifferent all exist within what is drugs within the society in which we live, the questions beg to inquire as to how has this impacted for good, bad and indifference in the human condition and the social spectrum of our lives. We can't at this time in human functional system and our evolving society of socio-economic, political and industrial systems to find nor bring answer to these things.

We once used DDT and claimed it a wonder substance, only to later find its flaws and pose bans on its usage, we once made many things of asbestos, due to the cheap and abundant availability, then we found cause of alarm, but no cessation of the usages of these compounds.
We once used Lard in our cooking, and moved on to shortening, a lesser compound, and then we moved on to cooking oils, then came the margarine and its many offshoots, moving away from the usage of churned butter from the basics of cows milk. Profits soared, and cholesterol rose, blood pressure increased and then we found that we could push sodium and sugar to titillate the public, until we have a mass of diabetic in our populations.

Congress is slow to act, when campaign contribution hide the facts, and bills crafted by industry leaders are hawked by the politicians we elect, and profit seeking changes the dynamics and hide the facts.

Now, we are being hit with the promotion of robotic system of food dispensing, after robotic preparation, and we know not what we eat and consume. But we can be assured, there are chemical compounds being engineered on a daily basis to help us combat the resulting impacts upon our bodily systems.

We simply have little choice but to purchase what is made available or we have nothing of sustenance to consume.

The idea of farming has been removed from the society mentality, the suburbia discourages the growth of produce or the healthy growth of livestock on a home ground personal level. Our jam packed cities of cement and asphalt rules out the individual farming of the individual. Are we headed toward the 1973 block buster "Soylent Green".

Our very own family loved McDonalds, was busted and highly publicized for their
"Pink Slime" still we are unaware and unconcerned to understand the nature of chemical concocted and injected compounds and how they are brought to us with mass commercialization, to be unaware of what we rush out to consume.

We are quick to complain about China, but we don't have the regulatory control on our foods which is employed by the Japanese. Now, we find ways to have China produce the compounds and export them in high volume to the US and sadly we now see the once slim figured Chinese become Obese like the American Population. But we can't and do see these connections nor the implication being enacted in the big system process.

Tomato's grow in high abundance from simple vines, but we now have "green house chemical engineered tomato's", and seemingly, there is somewhat of a ban and restriction on local home grown organic tomato's being allowed to be sold in our community grocery stores. We import from Mexico and Central America, where big money can escape any and all regulatory control to inject what ever they deem of choice into the fruits and vegetables, until we rush to the store to buy these tasteless, simulation with lower nutritional content, and we've become accustom until we don't know the difference.

So as the Original Subject started, it said - This is written for the thinking minds- who dare to expand concepts and see a broader paradigm to progress for ALL American People.

We might want to inquire as to the MANY EXPANSE of the true short falls of the War on Drugs.

I'll follow up Old Town's and jade408's posts by confirming they are spot on.

I worked in a very high tech position in very high tech companies in the late 70's and 1980's. The best technical minds in those companies all used cannabis, including myself. I know this is a concept that the anti-pot zealots cannot wrap their heads around. The brainwashing has been so complete and so successful that it has resulted in people as misinformed as fat lou.

Here is another observation from Ivoc, another CD poster. I like this post because it EXACTLY mirrors my own experiences and what I observed throughout the 1970's.

Quote:
I managed high tech groups for 30 years. I will agree with our programmer that his ilk think that Pot increases their productivity. I also am reasonably sure it does not. Does not degrade it either. Had a group in upstate NY that developed the first color copier. Big set of pot heads...very productive development team.

On the west coast it was so common that I doubt you can find a major software team that was not more than 50% stoned most of the time.

If you ran a party for Senior development types you could count on most of the attendees abeing stoned and worried about coke not pot,.

They ended up running the places...and did OK.
And to Mr. Fat Lou, you seem to think that pot has been illegal forever, and that it is because the plant deserves to be demonized due to its effects when consumed by humans. In an attempt to set you straight, let me say that you could not be more completely wrong, although I know the following will fall on deaf ears and blind eyes.

As the OP has stated, the beginnings of prohibition was racially motivated. Before this time, it was NOT illegal and NOT considered a threat to human beings at all.

But soon afterwards there were lots of money driven agendas that surfaced, including those from Hearst and Anslinger. Some people have studied this as a subject of college papers, including this one from Sonic_spork. The key point that comes from this research is that prohibition never was rooted in the merits, or lack thereof, of the plant itself:

Quote:
I've actually written a few college papers on the history of pot prohibition. It's interesting stuff. A true tale of "follow the money" and sensationalist propaganda...and the American people bought it hook, line and sinker. Except those that had the personal experience to know better, I guess.

The drug itself has little to do with why it's illegal actually.

It was about the revenue streams of W.R. Hearst's timber and paper industry in the Pacific NW and Dupont's new product, nylon. You know...the same nylon that is in all of your clothing now? The same nylon that a large percentage of rope you can buy is also made of? There were competing interests developing more efficient ways of processing hemp fibers that would have revolutionized the textile industries. Highly sustainable and renewable resources that could fill all of our needs for the traditional hemp rope as well as paper, fabrics, eventually even building materials and so much more. But this would have rocked the financial foundations of some very powerful leaders of industry.

How to get rid of hemp?

Demonize cannabis. All of it.

They did not just use the crazy assertions contained in Reefer Madness like violence and insanity...many of the claims were straight up racist as heck. When a man is allowed to stand on the floor of Congress and explain that "marihuana" will make their respectable white wives and daughters run off with Mexicans and black jazz musicians...and that is exactly the kind of crazy talk that pushed fear of this drug and the first laws against it.

Of course in recent years all too many industries stand to profit from prohibition. The for-profit prison system for starters, as well as all of the same textile industries that would no longer be needed, alcohol, pharma (and that one is HUGE) all the way down to reduction of asset forfeiture by your local cop shop and less reason to do things like "stop and frisk" of young black men.

Practically every reason for MJ prohibition is rooted in corruption at some very high levels of society. And almost nothing to do with it being a "bad scary drug that dopers will get all dopetastic on--to the detriment of THE CHILDREN." People who think that are still happily being led down the garden path by big gov and big biz.
This was followed up by international treaty, which required other countries to prohibit and demonize the plant also, or risk being on the bad side of the US:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Single...Narcotic_Drugs

It is the US that is driving the international prohibition of cannabis, not the plant itself.

Fortunately, the winds of change is in the air.

Like Obama has been the first President to partake, enjoy, and consume cannabis.

If anything, he has been more open about his usage than any other president.

The fact he couldn't do more as THE president, simply reflects on the money that goes into politics. Maybe it will be one of his last ditch efforts as he leaves office, to write something in? Will it do anything, no. Even though almost 60% of America says change the laws, there is still too much money being made from prohibition.

All these documented facts that have been coming out for decades and whites will still act like systematic institutionalized racism is a figment of our imaginations. The policies they used are still being used today.

So the govt hatched a global war to destroy black people. And now 40 years later white people (more than black) are falling victim to the horrors of heroin, meth and prescription pills.

Malik el-Shabazz might refer to this as "chickens coming home to roost"

I disagree. I've spoken out loudly and often about the institutionalized racism of our country's public school system:

U.S. public schools educate only 26% of all public school students to even basic grade-level proficiency in math, 38% in reading, by 12th grade.

NAEP - Mathematics and Reading 2013

That in and of itself is bad enough, but pay very careful attention to the much lower basic proficiency percentages for Black students.

Black students' basic math proficiency percentage by 12th grade: 7%
Basic reading proficiency percentage by 12th grade: 16%

Are Blacks inherently less intelligent than everyone else? I don't think so. Or are Democrats insisting on keeping them trapped in subpar public schools to keep teachers unions happy? Think very carefully about how Dems only care about teachers unions' donations and votes, and don't give a sh*t about kids and their future.
