It's the same in Japan, although people here would just ring the doorbell at 7:25 and not worry about being too early.

Here in the Pacific Northwest, a half-hour late is about par for the course. And the last time I checked, we were a pretty pale crew.

So I am calling BS on this whole deal.

When my husband and I were dating my mother accused him of doing that. He always knocked at exactly the time he said he would be there.

Unfortunately, I now have to get him started early if we are going to be anywhere on time.

Sorry, I don't get it. Wouldn't white privilege be coming into work late and going home early? Isn't getting to work early or on time and giving your employer a fair day's work for a fair day's pay a work ethic? How is this even a racial issue? Sounds like baiting to me.

This line of thinking is truly comical. I try and not let myself get worked up over a single person's opinion, but sometimes easier said than done.

If you ignore it, it will go away.
