This didn't open a can of worms except to the extreme right, a trip to Hiroshima was long overdue. My boyfriend's grandpa fought the Japanese during ww2, he understood soldiers have to do what soldiers have to do. I also know a guy who lost his dad in ww2, he still has problems with anything Jpanese including the cars. I am sure he would be offended by this tour. who am I to tell people to get over it, I understand both men, or try to understand both kind of emotion.
People like you, always have to make it political. I like president Obama, and won't use every opportunity to attack him personally. But war is still very personal to a lot of people. That is all I am saying. It has nothing to do with liberal vs conservative.

I will agree with the writer of the article originally linked; Obama did not explicitly apologize. However it was certainly implied the bombing was something to be ashamed of. The ass kisser in chief. What can I say?

The problem is that he should be over here laying wreaths on the graves of our solders that died in WWII and other wars. We just do not see him going out of his way to thank or grieve for those that fought and died for our Country. We also do not see him speaking up for our police departments or visiting their graves. He picks inappropriate times to honor the wrong groups. Besides; we dropped the bomb on Aug. 6th, 1945; not the end of May! The only thing he accomplished in Japan was to put down more American veterans.
