Must get rid of guns or make them MUCH harder to get.

You see, if we started actually enforcing gun-laws and not doing the plea-deals.......well, Yutes would be bearing the major blow with this change, can't have that!!!!!!!

Why not trying to make killing people illegal?

Most of the mass shooters don't plan on living, so the threat of long jail terms or new laws won't affect them. It just affects the law-abiding gun owners.

I'm guessing that there are exceptions to every rule.

The point they want to make is the assault weapon kills so many due to its ability to fire so fast ... therefore killing a lot of people.

Chuck Connors (The Rifleman) could have killed just as many people at Orlando and done it with a late 1800's weapon!!!!!

He could fire off 12 rounds almost as fast as a gas operated AR 15 can and do it with a manual rifle going back to the late 1800's.
Yeah, but how long would it take him to reload? After all, that is the point.

And if that's the gun he had, how many could he have killed?

The subject is clip/magazine loaded weapons. If none of his weapons used clips/magazines he could have been overpowered.

I don't care what they are to you.

I would like semi-automatic weapons off the shelves of stores.
Not for sale to the public.
Purchased only by law enforcement agencies and military with proper lock-up facilities.

Always near in mind, the killer sees no risk on illegally procuring a firearm. The criminal takes less risk than a law abiding citizen. The best measure is to have gun owners pass a background check, which includes mental illness, such as involuntary commitment, or being diagnosed with a psychotic condition, or any disorder were one is likely to be a danger to others.

There you go again.

YOU are the only one who brought up registration!
This is weird! You bring up registration and then you howl because it is brought up....

I will agree with you because when a firearm used defensively is employed, hardly ever more than two shots will be fired without the perpetrator getting the upper hand.

That's why weapons of mass destruction, like a semi-automatic rifle, should not be offered for sale.
Just like hand grenades.

I agree. As a once hunter, I have never seem anyone I respected use an assault rifle. these weapons are made for war, not hunting, and unnecessary for defense
