it will knock you back, not talking about making you fly back. The reason why the firearm is the weapon of choice in these situations is because of their stoping power. If they did not stop someone, they would not be used much. The reason why law enforcement use the hollow point rounds is the same, it Will stop someone, a ballooning bullet is not going to travel in a straight line, when it hits bone, some will fragment and change direction. it will stop you.

Wow... if a bullet can knock a bear off it's feet, do you really believe there isn't one that can do the same for humans?

We are getting off-course here and I will cease and desist, but I am constantly astounded at the certainty of some people who have, in all likeliehood, never shot a gun or killed a game animal.

Actually I've said numerous time, as you know but choose to lie about, I'm quite happy to let other jurisdiction set their own gun laws. The suicide rate is sky high in AZ, but I'm all in favor of letting the people of that state work it out.

Also, Mythbusters busted that myth as well.

As I recall the stories a .45 automatic would stop a Moro.

Does the right to keep and bear arms exist if a militia is no longer necessary for the security of a free state?

Suggested Calibers & Loads

most of these arounds have a mid 90% stopping power with ONE HIT. People that are being attacked will typically use more than one round to stop an enemy.

a militia is always necessary for the security of a free state. it is not just foreign states that can pose a threat to a free state, but from internal sources as well. Our founding fathers have spoken on this in detail, which you can find quotes and links to the quotes within this discussion.
