Wisdom tooth removal also entails risk of complication, but dentists can perform these procedures in an office without having admitting privileges, even if they administer anesthesia. Why are people with bad teeth second class citizens?

Listen, I had an abortion well into my second trimester after diagnosis of severe fetal defect. My abortion took place in a university hospital under the care of a perinatalogist, which was necessary. A dose of misoprostel at eight weeks does not require the same level of facility nor does it require the provider have admitting privileges.

Which women are having abortions performed in their own homes?

We're talking about facilities in which invasive medical procedures are being performed. Procedures which do indeed entail potentially lethal medical risks.

What this ruling does is establish that women are 2nd class citizens in regards to their access to health care procedures.

And, again, it's women's Constitutional right to accept that inferior status as legitimate.

Why are you having such a problem accepting those facts?

The right to abortion is settled, but so is a state's regulatory authority. This decision goes even further in the SC changing the rules to fit what the majority wants, rather than leaving it up to the states to decide how to regulate.

This is only a small dent in the armor of the control freaks' era. Your end time is far in the future.

Well if they attempted to close down every gun store in a state by requiring steel encasement of gun shops that would be a fair comparison but that isn't the case. You can get a gun in every state, while you can get an abortion in all states it's very limited and a hardship in some.

Oh, absolutely, FatBob, women should definitely NEVER have sex with any man unless she WANTS to become pregnant.

Abortion is always such a heated topic.

My feelings on the subject.

As long as it's been medically determined that aborting a fetus before x days is safe for the woman, then it's the woman's right to abort.

If and only if every right to lifer stated they would adopt every unwanted child, then unless the woman went beyond the x date it's not their business to intervene. Better to abort than bring an unwanted child into this world in a terrible situation where they could turn out having a negative life, become homeless or a criminal, etc.

That aborted baby was sentenced to death and it had never done anything wrong to deserve it. That is inhumane.

You're expecting "civilized self-control" from a nation that indiscriminately invades/occupies other nations for no good reason and bombs the crap out of other s with a similar lack of good reason?

Why is it people express such concern for embryos, (potential human beings), while having so little for actual living, breathing human beings?

This post perfectly encapsulates the true reason for the anti-abortion movement. They desire what they see as a suitable punishment for sexual promiscuity. Any concern for the fetus is just crocodile tears and sales pitch, the real reason for their fervor is their need to control the sexual behavior of women.
