How does the president loose a election that takes place in another country?
Members of the Brotherhood ran, and were elected, by the people of Egypt.
Obama backed the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt which by its nature was a nightmare. I know that they were elected, but the Brotherhood was thrown out quick because they were Islamist madmen. If Obama had not agitated The "Arab Summer" nonsense the Brotherhood would not have had the power it acquired.
It's the only way to stop the stream of migrants from Syria.
It kinda was although not the most effective solution it seems to have worked. The problem for the EU now is to stop migration from its southern borders and really fix the situation in Libya.
He was molding the state institutions in a way that made it very difficult to be voted out, just as Chavez did in Venezuela. Elections are great, but they aren't the be all and end all of what constitutes a free society.
The opposition groups were too fractured to oppose him. Venezuela is not comparable.
