Why does there need to be any Facebook? Facebook is a celebration of our collective societal narcissism.

Me Me Me Me Me Me Me Me.

This is not something we should be celebrating or encouraging.

All these new social media outlets will be liberal. It is nothing new, and nothing than can be stopped. Who uses social media more, who are the ones to first jump in?

1) Techies
and
2)Teens

Both groups tend to be very liberal for obvious reasons. So I do wish facebook stopped all this war on conservative speech, but that is the nature of the beast. Live with it, and know that is how it will be. At least Facebook has been caught doing stuff recently, perhaps that will get people woken up a bit.

Glad you like it. It's a change from whining about the very thing you utilize, isn't it?

I'm going to immediately regret asking this but how, exactly, does Facebook censor conservative speech? Based on my newsfeed, it could do a better job of that.

Facebook works on an algorithm. You see content you interact with more, or content that is supported by paid advertising. So, when I see nothing but Buzzfeed videos for a week, it's probably because I clicked a few of them the week before.

Are your conservative posts being deleted? Comments to friends being squelched?

I'm not whining about a discussion forum. I like it here, I like the people (even the ones that disagree with me). I'm not a fan of Facebook, I'm not on Facebook but I was in the beginning and I see what's its become.

My thoughts on this matter, i.e. the subject of the thread are only my opinions. That's what's better about this, a discussion, we can see each others opinions and agree or disagree. Or attack, whatever you prefer.

You like Facebook, enjoy. I don't enjoy it, so I don't partake. No worries.

Is this War on Conservative Speech the same as the War on Christmas?

Right which is a problem, the more crazy right wing post you see the more it make want to click on them then the algorithm thinks you like that crap so more demented drivel on your feed.

Why does there need to be an alternative to facebook?

I don't use it, haven't in 4 years, and I am not missing anything.
